"Why are you here?" Seulgi's eyebrows arched when she just stumbled out of her house in her beaten up white Vans, bumping it down the porch and looking up to see Wonwoo in his bicycle. The usual him wearing his black cap in his uniform and beaten up Converse.
"Duh, why would I be here? Who the hell do I usually go with to school?" He retorts back questionably, as if she's missing the point. When Seulgi only stares at him hard and in confusion, he groans. "C'mon, don't waste my time. Hop on."
"Do you think I'm a frickin bunny to hop? Wh-oh, I remember," she still can't get over the fact that her mother had requested his mother (best friends, gawd, a tight-knitted one) to take her to school.
"I can't believe you still forgot it even after two years. I'm your personal driver now, you should be grateful," Wonwoo glances a bit to Seulgi's brown hair in a high ponytail, revealing her pointy ears and slender neck line poking out of her collar.
She rolls her eyes and descends from the stairs to approach him.
Grabbing a hold of his shoulders to take a sit behind him, Wonwoo feels himself getting unbalanced.
"Hey, don't fall! You're so weak, Wonwoo," Seulgi slaps his back when she's settled behind him. "God, that was scary."
"You must have gained wei-" Wonwoo knows that she's ready to hit him again and he quickly pedals on his bike, forcing her to quickly grab on to his collar as the wind fastens against them
"! I thought I'm gonna fall!" Seulgri shrieks as her hands now grip to both of his shoulders, making him laugh out loud in content even when her nails are beginning to dig into his shirt.
Seriously, getting Seulgi irritated in the morning is one of his succession today.
It's been a while since he has known Seulgi. He moved in here on his first year right beside her house. Before he was introduced to her (when they met at this super market near their house with their mothers) he already met her at school. His first impression is that Seulgi is not civil, in the sense that she is easily pissed off by people once they irritate her.
"You're blocking my sight." Her, snapping from behind him.
"Then you can just move." Him, being oblivious and kept his head to the front.
"You are the one sitting in front of me, you should at least duck," Her, irritation seething out of her lips.
"I don't duck, what the hel-" Him again, turning his head towards her aggressively.
"Listen, I'm being perfectly civil her-" The rest is World War Three.
She got quite a temper, more than him. Knowing her after a while then, she's quite an okay person but she stands in the weird side. Her speaking her own internal monologue at times and her group of friends who don't seem so normal either.
Well, she cares enough of him to unnecessarily dump his cigarette stash when she was in his room and he went off for a while to answer Mingyu''s call from his telephone home.
"Your mother will be upset if she discovered that," is what she said when he came back to his room and saw something missing from the corner of his room.
"Jeez, going through my stuffs like that. You're so rude. What would you do if I go through your closet? And I-"
"Remind me to never take you to my house then, so disgusting!"
He basically takes care of his own stuffs since too much things happened to his room (posters of some famous rappers and inspirational Eminem quotes, lines of CDs and mixtapes in his shelves). Having his mother go through his things is not the most exciting thing to have since it will all be taken away from him since his grades are not so good right now.
The wind is blowing by as he paddles on his bike, her fingers still on his shoulders. Last night, the water was pouring and the road is still scented with the fragrant of rain he's not fond off. It feels like the soil is getting into his nose.
"I'm going to audition into a rap competition," he tells her out of the blue, since Seulgi is probably too absorbed in keeping her focus to not fall whenever Wonwoo is ready enough to speed up and make her scream again.
"Are you good enough for it?"
"What kind of motivation is that? I'm dropp-"
"C'mon, let's be realistic here. You're going to face rappers all over the city, if not all over the country. I've seen those competition, and they're harsh-"
"Believe me, I got enough mentality to not be destroyed by their words, Seulgi," he paddles on and slows down when the light turns red. Wonwoo barely cares about what people think about him, especially mean words that seek out the weak in him. Criticisms from the higher up rappers, though, he will accept humbly. They are like some sort of heroes in his mind. Having heroes noticing you give a big sense of pride, at least to him.
"Well, I guess you're ready. Those mixtapes you gave to me are pretty good, the one called "Midas"? I love that one. Your words flow pretty well there, and the lyrics are coc-"
Wonwoo groans. "Don't use cocky-"
"Well, rappers are indeed cocky. Look at those lyrics, are rappers insecure about something? Why do they find the need to curse so much also?"
