(((title because i miss chaeyoung's bobbed chestnut hair!!! it doesn't make sense whatsoever because technically chaeyoung's hair still is chestnut but it's just not the same anymore because i just really miss her bobbed hair but - - - ahhh forgive me i'm just rambling rn! go on go on!!!)))

also, this is my first time writing a michaeng oneshot *_* mina is really pretty, so godlike.... and i think they look good together!! also mina's apparent endearment for chaeyoung is adorable (and also kind of endearing to me, even) so i just took it to a whole new level in this shot lol ;;

“Hey Chaeyoung,” Mina calls one day. It’s eight in the morning on Christmas eve, and Chaeyoung is getting ready for church, when Mina says, “I’m in love with you.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah, seriously.”

“Well . . .” Chaeyoung breathes through the telephone. She doesn’t seem to be flattered or overwhelmed whatsoever, so replying shouldn’t be a challenge. “Thanks, I guess.”

“Uh, Chaeng,” Mina her lips. This is awkward. “Is that really all you’re going to say?”

“Yes.” Chaeyoung frowns. Mina can swear that she can hear it through the telephone. “You know I don’t like the sound of those words - love, trust, compassion, vulnerability . . . Anyways. I have to meet my mother in church in a few minutes. Goodbye, Mina.”

“Okay . .  . um. See you later, then?”

“Yes, I’ll see you later, Mina.”
