Kyungsoo is sprinting, his heart rate escalated from fear as well as exertion.  There is something chasing him; something big.  He hasn't managed to get more than a few short glimpses at whatever it is, but the information he has gleaned encourages him to stop looking behind him and push his legs faster.

He's not particularly athletic, and after a few short minutes of flat out sprinting, his breath is ripping through his chest in ragged gasps and there is a stitch in his left side so sharp, he imagines that someone is inserting a knife into his side and twisting.

His energy is flagging, and he's starting to lose hope. He is unsure of where he is running, and with every step he can sense the Thing drawing nearer and nearer.

Finally! Up ahead he sees a yellow glow, and in three exhausting steps more, he can see that the light is creeping out through the window of some single-story structure.

Intrinsically knowing that the building is his only chance at salvation, Kyungsoo finds within him one last scrap of energy to push himself the final few yards to his sanctuary.

Flinging open the door and hurtling inside, Kyungsoo slams it behind him before slouching up against it, breath shredding through his lungs.

"Hello, Kyungsoo. I'm glad that you have at last joined us."
