Description
In the future, a plague has rendered nearly 98% of humans infertile. Earth’s population dwindled to abysmal numbers as researchers failed to find a cure. In an attempt to save the human race, the government has turned the remaining 2% into cattle. Jungkook never imagined that he would become one of them.
Foreword
Foreword: In the 22nd century, Earth’s population has decreased to just under 1 billion people. Why? Because we have become unable to reproduce. Well, not all of us. A tiny percentage of the population remains unaffected. These individuals - now seen as humanity’s last hope for survival - have been forced into service by the government in order to save our race from extinction. How: by making them produce enough children to repopulate Earth; or in less delicate terms: by breeding them. When they turn 18, everyone, boy or girl, must get tested. And if they are found to have the reproduction gene, they get taken to the Faculty to “serve their country”.
Jungkook and Taehyung have been best friends since childhood. Even though they are from totally different classes, they are inseparable and hope to continue their friendship until their elderly days. But when Taehyung’s 18th birthday approaches, and he tests positive for the reproduction gene, both of their worlds will get turned upside down.
