Shadowhunters

Shadowhunters are humans born with angelic blood. They are appointed warriors on Earth by the angel Raziel. They control and preside the Shadow World. Their angelic blood endows them with special abilities that allow them to achieve feats beyond humanly possible through the application of angelic runes (permanent or temporary tattoos). Shadowhunters are demon hunters.

Warlocks

Warlocks are an immortal race. They are the offspring of humans and demons. Because of their demonic blood making them fertile, they are unable to have children. All warlocks can cast magic, but only powerful ones can study demonic magic - they are quite powerful. Usually warlocks do not get married but they love to fulfill their ual desires. Female warlocks are often called witches.

Faeries

Like warlocks, faeries are an immortal race. They have a mix of angel and demon blood which attribute to their beauty and malevolence. Faeries are very polite and known for their manners but due to their demon blood they are vicious and ually tempted. They often have wings and their only weakness is iron - it is toxic to them.

Vampires

Vampires are known as the Children of the Night. Vampires are humans that are infected with a demon disease. They are undead creatures with their soul that makes up their humanity remains intact due to the demon disease. Vampires don't have a heartbeat nor do they need to breathe. Like warlocks, vampires are immortal and unable to have children. They possess superhuman strength, grace, speed, and accelerated healing. They also have the ability of "encanto" where they are able to mesmerize and essentially control humans and shadowhunters through prolonged eye contact. Older and more powerful vampires are able to use this ability more easily. All vampires need to drink some form of blood to survive. Human food can make vampires sick because they are unable to digest it.

Werewolves

Werewolves are also known as the Children of the Moon. Like vampires, they are humans infected with a demon disease which gives them their ability to transform into wolves. New werewolves are created through a bite of another werewolf. Their abilities include superhuman strength, speed, and accelerated healing. Their weaknesses are seraph blades or pure silver.
