"Nari! slow down!" I started to jog since she didnt seem to be stopping any time soon.
"Nari!!" i tried to call for her one last time
"what do you want Hanbin!!!" She seemed infuriated and i couldnt help but think it was all my fault
You could see the anger through her expression. It was a mix of both anger and pain. I hadn't seen her act like this for a very long time. Nari's one of those girls that always has her way, and she's barely phased by other people. So seeing her like this only makes me realize how serious the situation really is.
"alright, well first off, take a deep breath. You need to relax"
"dont you ing tell me to relax! Why dont you just go crawl back to that !!"
"alright hold up, no need to call anyone names. Besides it wasnt her fault"
"oh so now you're going to defend her? why am i always seen as the bad person!!"
"im not defending anyone. Im just stating facts"
I hesitated at first, but i thought it would be best to calm her down. So i walked over and patted her back.
"dont touch me hanbin"
Nothing i was doing was making any difference in her attitude. So i decided to just leave her alone (as she asked).
"alright, well you know where to find me when you've calmed down"
Even though Nari and i had no romantic chemistry, i still cared for her. We'd been friends for a really long time and have gone through a lot together since our parents always left us alone. I felt bad for how she felt, but i knew she'd get over it soon. It would just take time.
"hanbin...."
I stopped in my footsteps as she called for me.
success!
The typical 'walking away' strategy always worked on her.
"yea?"
"do you like Minji?"
"what?" I didnt know what to say to such a question. In fact, it made me a bit uncomfortable, "why do you ask?" i tried to stall for some time before i thought of an appropriate reply
she let out a weak chuckle, "you usually dont have trouble saying no when i asked you questions like this...."
As much as i knew her, she seemed to know me just as well back. But i had too much pride to even think about something like that. There was no way id admit to something i wasnt sure of myself.
I just liked bugging Minji, i didnt really have a reason for why i acted the way i did. It's just... her reactions are so different than those ive seen before, and it makes me curious to see how far i can push her.
I could never expose these thoughts of mine to anyone though
"let's go home Nari, you need to stop thinking about useless things"
I walked away, waiting to hear her loud heels follow me. After a few steps, she finally began to follow.
I opened the door to my car for Nari to enter. She didnt seem to say a word to me at all. Her obnoxious nagging and yelling was something that always filled the air, and everything just seemed empty without it.
It sorta reminded me of the day her mom left........that was a really ty time on its own
As i opened the door to my side of the car, i noticed Hiyo
