The flight JL7040 for Japan will be delayed by 2 hours. We apologize for the inconveniece. You hear the loud announcement echoing in the airport. “Now I really won’t have any time to do a little shopping.” You think to yourself and sigh. You sink back into the metal chair and close your eyes. You had to go to Japan for work related business. You had booked the earliest flight from Hong Kong to Japan and you still get this. You had been traveling the whole week from one country to another. The reason why you wanted to be in Japan early is because you wanted to stroll around some stores before going to meetings.

You had to leave Japan the same day and fly back to the US as quick as possible. It was quite a bit stressful for you, always having to look your best, not having a proper rest for over a week as your timezones get all mixed up and jetlag is totally a drag. You’re feeling strained. But the amount of effort you put in your work doubles the pay, so all is good right? Honestly speaking, you like your job. You live well. You like to travel as well and aren’t anxious about airplanes. One more week of hard work and you have a whole month off. You deserved it. The company respects you and they show their appreciation as well. Being employee of the year was a major boost. While thinking about all this once again you smile. You never thought you’d get such a good job, at such a good company. Only being 24-years-old too, a really hard-working 24-year-old that’s for sure.

“What should I do now?” You think to yourself. You decided to listen to music. You look through your iTunes library and find the playlist named “k-pop” you smile to yourself once more. You remember all the groups you were a fan of. All the money and tears you wasted on some Korean singers as a teenager. Now it’s been a good 5 years or so since you last listened to K-Pop. It kind of just faded. You wouldn’t call it a phase, but college began and you soon had no time or desire really to listen to the music of your youthful times. You remember promising that you will support and be a fan of B/G forever, but things didn’t go as well as you had planned.

You decided to look up what the group is up to nowadays. You google them and the first one you notice from their latest pictures is still ofcourse B/N. You start blushing. He’s still the one that caught your eye the first. Still so very handsome as he was five years ago. Suddenly the didn’t feel as big as it did before. You remember thinking you were too young for them, but now it didn’t even seem too bad of a difference. You had dated men the same age and even older than B/N. Right now you had a romantic interest, but it hadn’t yet developed to a relationship quite yet. Just flirting and constantly going on dates. You had developed deep feelings for Sam already, but you decided to take it slow this time and not rush into a relationship too hastily. You find yourself constantly thinking of him, he was always so gentle with you. Always knew how to make you feel better. He also knows how important your career is to you, so he doesn’t get mad if you have no time for him. This tended to be the problem most of the time. Most of the men you dated didn’t understand how important your career was to you. But you can’t change yourself, that’s just the way you are. You won’t give up your career for a man.
