Foreword

"Where are you going and why are you dressed up like you're going on a date?" Dasom watched her fix her coat and her hair as well.

"You create the most marvelous conclusions, ever, like as in ever," Soyu whispered, but sure the other heard it.

Soyu looked at the other through the mirror and saw her face still waiting for her answer. That's when she stopped all her movements and answered to her formally, "Yes, yes, I'm going out on a date."

Dasom lighted up and ran to the other room. She went back with their two other friends and they were chasing and running after.

"Soyu, going out on a date?!!!"

"Why is it so hard for you to believe that your cold-hearted friend is going out with a nice guy?"

"No, it just so happen that you actually reject men and actually bitter about them," Hyorin commented.

"Whatever. I'm leaving now. See you at ten."

Soyu walked passed the streets and entered a mall on the corner. She walked on to the escalator and headed on the sky garden of the building. As she walked through the hallway, she took out her phone and pressed down her thumb on the screen.

She stopped right infront of the coffee shop and waited him right there.

"Hyung, you're doing it all wrong, turn it back around," Myungsoo said irritatingly, looking at his older brother fix his neck tie.

"Yeah, whatever, I'm not gonna wear it anyway," he threw out his tie from his neck and then took his shoes under the bed.

"And do you really think she'll get attracted by your leopard shirt, come on, hyung, have some taste," Myungsoo added making Sunggyu glare at him.

"You're wearing the wrong shoes, you know, you should wear mine's," Woohyun jumped up on the conversation, throwing his brown leather shoes at him.

"No, you should wear this purple one," Howon showed his pair of shoes with purple and black shades.

Sungjong showed up, pushing Howon aside and held up his bright pink shirt at his hyung, "Sunggyu hyung, you should probably wear this! Girls like pink!"

"Can you stop it kids. First of all, i don't want to look like a purple dinosaur, and second i'm not dating a girl, she's a woman already."

"But you said, she hasn't turned 18 yet, so she's not yet a woman," Sungjong replied with all his childish begging tone.

"I know! But it doesn't mean she acts like some of a kid, she's not like your girlfriends okay," Sunggyu defended out and that's where Sungyeol appeared with a mug of coffee on his hand and spoke,

"Just let him wear his styles, it's him who's gonna go out, not you."

Myungsoo smirked and replied, "wow, the hokage spoke up."

"Shut up, Myung."

"Sungyeol's right, just let him wear whatever he wants, right, Gyu?" Dongwoo put his arm around his shoulder and Sunggyu sighed and nodded.

"There goes grandpa Gyu, going out on his first date," Myungsoo whispered beside Sungyeol as they watched him ride his car and startted his engine.

"Just remember to stop when the red light went on," Dongwoo stuck in his head in the passenger's window as Sunggyu only rolled his eyes.

"I'm not stupid, alright I gotta go. See you later."

Dongwoo only nodded and stood up beside Woohyun who was over acting with a tissue on his hand, pretending to cry and wipe his tears.

"Come on, Woohyun, it's not like I'm going to get married and leave you. Ughh, whatever, bye to all."

The older drove as the rest watched him sprint off. "Was he wearing his seatbelt?"

Wooyun suddenly asked that it made Dongwoo curl his brows and think.

"I guess he wasnt...but nah he won't die."

Soyu stood up there and then flipped out her phone again. She dialled a number and faced it on her ears. The call went to voice mail and there she spoke, "Hey, Sunggyu, I'm already here," she started on her soft voice and then finally changed it,

"where the are you?! Call me immediately when you got this. I bet you won't be running at all, so you better tell me where you are now."

Sunggyu parked his car on the side and his phone rang, which meant she was already there. "."

He rode off and ran on the corner and entered the mall. He ran on the stairs, knowing that escalators would only be slowing him down, and so, he head towards the sky garden. He opened up the door and finally looked for her.

He took out his phone and bunch of messages were already sent to him and he knew that the girl was already turning into dragon. He didn't bother reading them all as he immediately dialled her number and called her.

After rings, he swallowed and there her raging voice destroyed his eardrums, "I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU THE WHOLE TIME, YOU SLOWPOKE GRANDPA, WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?!"

Curling his brows, her voice became live and wondered if she went out from his phone.

"I-I'm already here, where are you?"

"I'm lookng right at you, ,"

The man looked up and saw her standing meters away from him. Her brows were like mad lion and he could feel her aura a bit gloomy. Despite of her facial expression, the woman was greatly dressed where she only wore a simple dark blue blouse, black pants with beige coat. Her brown leather boots also partnered her brown shoulder bag as well, and he admitted she has a good taste of clothes.

Well, unlike him, he just wore his leopard shirt, gray skinny jeans, leopard vans, indigo coat and black scarf.

"Come on, don't make that face, you look like an angry pig," Sunggyu teased but, darn, he doesn't have a good humor.

"I'm not a pig," she replied as both took their walk on the place. Well, as for the first timers, Soyu did not hold on to his arms or even to his coat.

"So where do you want to eat?" Sunggyu broke the ice between them as Soyu sighed.

Soyu think for a while and the bulb light and dragged him to her favorite restaurant. Both stood infront the entrance and Sunggyu was mentally judging the store for it doesn't pleased him that much.

"Seriously? You like Japanese food?"

"Why, you asked me where I wanna eat so, I dragged you here."

"Yeah, why did I ask you anyway, let's go somewhere else," Sunggyu took her hand and led her to a 'better' place as to what he described.

"I wonder where would they eat," Dasom spoke, Hyorin was sitting across her while Bora was standing infront the cupboards, eating her sandwich.

"Would it be Tokyo Tokyo?" Dongwoo said to his brothers, knowing that Soyu likes Japanese food. The six of them were at the rooftop and was having a great pleasant tea time.

"Or would it be some lame fast food restaurants like how Soyu would describe Sunggyu eatying that Crispy Chicken Sandwich?" Hyorin jumped on the conversation.

"So, Mcdonald's is your taste?" She asked annoyingly, and that's where Sunggyu dragged her inside.

"I have better taste, you know," the woman whispered to him but the other only shrugged.

"Just go find a seat, I'll order us something,"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever," Soyu rolled her eyes, annoyed, as she looked around her to find no vancant everywhere and so she looked outside and found one table for them.

She sat down and sighed as she looked at her watch, We got a little late, she thought.

Sunggyu came with a tray of two burgers, two large fries, and two large coke as well. Soyu smiled pleasantly as the other sat across her and lay out the food from the tray.

"You know, these could kill you," Soyu commented and disgustingly looked at the meal.

"Can you just eat it, you're still gonna die though."

Both ate pleasantly as Soyu flipped out her phone and pressed the instagram app, "Sunggyu, look," the front camera blink as their faces appeared on the screen and it happened over and over again with different poses and angles. Well, both are vain and they made a great fit together as well.

"Come on, let's have a walk in the park," Sunggyu called out, taking her hand again for the second time, but Soyu did notice it.

The two love birds finally made on the park and fortunately it was not full of kids or some people for it's quite past 5 and the people would all be on their way home.

Sunggyu made his way to the swing, as he pointed it to her and the woman sit down on it. The man carefully pushed her and it wasn't until her bag fell on the ground.

"Wow, your bag has transformed into a jumping jack," Sunggyu commented as he bend down on the grass to take her brown leather bag. He noticed that her wallet also fell from the bag.

"Your stuff is alive, they kept trembling and jumping or they're just nervous because your boyfriend is near."

"Awesome, I really liked your joke out of full imagination, Kim Sunggyu," Soyu spoke up sarcastically as she only made her way to him to get her stuff.

"Did you bring a hat or something? It's going to rain," Sunggyu said as he observed the clouds above him and it was getting a bit dark and small lightning were playing around.

"I didn't but that's okay, I'm just meters away from here," she replied as she sat back on the swing, Sunggyu was still bending down infront of her.

Soyu pushed herself to the swing and almost kicked Sunggyu on the chest, well good thing the man got up fast and covered himself. It was until Sunggyu continued pushing the swing amd by the moment she swing back to him, they would make electrifying glances.

Soyu was feeling a bit tense because just like her friends said, she had always rejected men and never gave a shot to anyone else. What made her friends surprised was that an ordinary guy like Sunggyu would make her heart melt and gave away.

He was just any other guy she met. Normal, not so rich, not so handsome, but he's smart and a good elder to his siblings. What more? That's what we're going to find out.

They heard a loud thunderstorm as both looked up to the sky, and Sunggyu didn't notice that she was about to swing back to him that it made her fell over him.

"Ahh--"

Awkward.

"Let's just walk along the park, shall we?" Soyu grinned and stood up, so as Sunggyu who was sweating and that's when Soyu took his arm and both walked on the pathway.

It was getting dark and cold. Sunggyu's not okay with it. I want to spend more time with her, come on, not now, ing rain.

It was then the rain fell everywhere. It was fast that it made both soak and what woukd they suppose to do.

"This means we have to play with it, Gyu."

The rain kept on. The two were just standing in between. Both were soaking, and their clothes were all useless that time.

"You like rain?"

"Not much, but I love it when I'm with someone else." Soyu smiled and it registered in his mind. Hundreds of thoughts passed through his mind. They were all conclusions, what-if's, and most of it were doubts.

Sunggyu smiled weakly as he only took her hand and said, "come, i'll drive you home, Soyu, you might get cold. Dasom would kill me."

Soyu was sure disappointed at him for being the kill-joy and party pooper. She didn't know why he just called for home. She was sitting at the passenger's seat, arms crossed, hair soaking, and her eyes were watching the rain drops sliding down on the window.

"You okay?" Sunggyu asked taking glances at her.

The woman just ignored him but he continued, "wanna drive thru a coffee shop?"

Soyu ignored him again and it made the other step on the brake and look at her, "Yah, what's wrong?"

"Just take me home," she said coldly, ignoring his looks as Sunggyu only sighed and stepped on the engine.

He didn't want seeing her like that. It stabs him. He knew that she's dismayed and disappointed. He knew she still wanted to play in the rain but he's an for everything.

He pulled his car oin the side, and Soyu fixed her stuff to get out. Before she could open the door, Sunggyu got her fast giving her a kiss on the cheeks and sure it made Soyu pause for a while.

"Thank you for the afternoon," she said looking at him.

"I'll see you again tomorrow."

It wasn't a request, it was an order.

The night ended fast as the morning went on again. Sunggyu was leaning on the the door of his car as he waited her door to open and she showed up.

Soyu threw her bag into him that it made him flinch a bit as she walk down the small stairs and headed towards the car.

"Good morning to you, too," Sunggyu hissed, opening the door for her.

He entered the driver's seat and put her bag behind and started his engine. He drove off the busy streets as the scenario was full of silence and he could feel the rage from her aura. Taking something from the compartment, he threw a plastic bag on her lap that it made the girl flinch and kinda surprised with the sudden movement.

"Stop being a kid, okay," Sunggyu commented as he quietly smiled and so as the girl who was smiling.

"This sour candy helps," Soyu hissed to herself.

"What, you're thankful?" He said, pretending that he didn't hear her statement.

"No."

Aishh, this cold hearted woman is really cold.

They spent the rest of the in the university and Sunggyu waited her again infront of the gate entrance. Sunggyu sprinted off their way to the park and Soyu was a bit surprised with the place,

"So, are we going to play paper-rocks-scissors and the loser will act weird infront of the people passing by?"

"No, we're going to create memories here, let's go."

"Okay, mister hamster, I didn't want my afternoon to be boring," she said as both unlocked their seatbelts and got out of the car.

The heels of their shoes sounded as both were walking along the cement pathway. The sun was already setting and soon it would be done for the day. Both watched the kids play, and so as the parents who were chasing after them. It's funny how kids still know how to play in the park and socialize with other kids, because technology has influenced the generation so much.

"I want to do something sporty, Sunggyu," Soyu spoke and it made the other look at her.

"Oh, I know what you want."

The next scene was the two of them were entering a basketball court, Sunggyu was still holding her hand and took a key from his pocket.

He unlocked the chain on the gate and entered the court, Soyu was sure smiling and happy with the place she wanted to go.

The woman looked around to observe the place and there he saw Sunggyu ran to the side to get the bicycle leaning on the wall.

"You only have one?" Soyu asked sadly becuase she's also a fan of bikes ever since she was a kid.

"We can exchange, or I can just let you sit on the front."

"Nah, I know you're lame, so I think you'll be the one sitting there and I'll be driving."

"Whatever, whatever makes you happy, soya."

"Did you just call me soya?"

Sunggyu made that thinking face as Soyu only threw her the ball she found on the side.

"Let's just play basketball, the loser will sit on the front."

"Sure," Sunggyu replied and Soyu could hear the arrogance in his voice.

And so the game began.

"If Sunggyu would do a sport, what would it be?" Woohyun started the fact-game and all their eyes paid attention.

"He plays basketball tho, you were with us when we played back in Sungyeol hyung's hometown," Sungjong replied as he played his pencil with his fingers.

"He can't do track and field, you know how lame he is," Dongwoo replied, like they were only talking about a very unimportant person of their life.

"What are we now, backstabbers?" Hoya laughed right infront of them and the rest followed.

Soyu shot her three-point shoot and who would have thought, a girl like her could play such game.

"I can even shoot better than you, grandpa," Soyu commented, panting and running on the side.

"I'm still higher okay," Sunggyu replied.

"Who cares, though, what mattered is I can do the three-point shoot," she said with her ever show-off tone.

"Is that necessary to say, if doing three-point shoot would--ughh whatever," Sunggyu shoot a one-point and the game was finally over.

Soyu rolled her eyes, "change court?" She said, asking for one last chance.

"Change court? What are you talking about. You lose. You ride on the lame front seat," Soyu pouted, as she made her way towards him with her caring eyes.

"You'll get tired, Sunggyu, I worry about you," she said, like seducing him in a way.

"Aishh, let's go," Sunggyu took her hand again while the woman rolled her eyes and sat on the front seat.

Soyu: -_-

Sunggyu: >:D

Sunggyu pedalled the bike and made his way around the court while, somehow, Soyu enjoyed the small ride. Even though Sunggyu has heart probkems, he still pushed himself into the limits.

Soyu could hear the hard breaths of Sunggyu as she finally realized that the other was already tired and should hace a rest.

"Gyu, you can stop now,"

"Nahh, I'm still enjoying this ride," it was then he made out his way to the exit and pedalled along the streets until they reached the end. He stopped right ninfront of a bemch and escorted her to sit.

Sunggyu coughed a little and breathed deeply, making Soyu notice him, "Yah! I told you, you're gonna die breathing!"

"Are you still gonna yell at me like that in this situation?"

Soyu raised her brow and replied, "ohh, so I'm the wrong one now."

"Says the girl who always want to be the right team although she's to the point of wrong choices," Sunggyu hissed as Soyu only rolled her eyes.

Soyu looked up to the roof an abandoned house and finally thought of another game, "you know Mirror mirror on the roof?"

"What kind of game is that?" Sunggyu asked teasingly, finding her game a bit lame and amateur.

"Ugghh. I'll go up to that roof," she pointed out the roof she saw a while again, "you'll stand here and copy what I'll do."

Sunggyu rose his brow in confusion as Soyu only froze on her place.

"Yeah, yeah, just do it, Nike."

Soyu made her way up to the roof (she has skills though), and stand in the middle as Sunggyu watched him.

"Do you really have to stand up that there? You know you can just stand beside me."

"This has thrills, and it's more exciting!" She yelled back and Sunggyu only rolled his eyes.

"She would definitely ask him, or maybe not ask, but urge him to play our lame stupid game we used to play back in our hometown, right?" Dasom asked as she tied her hair up and comb it with her hands.

"Bet?" Bora raised her brow.

"For that peppero," Dasom grinned as Bora only rolled her eyes.

"I bet too. You know how she gives efforts on such special things. That game means so much to her, it's her last memoir with her parents when she was little and so, she would share it with a special someone."

"Sunggyu's not on the thing," Woohyun stated.

"How could you say that, really? After all the 'dates' and 'riding home from and to school' do you really think he's not yet on the thing?" Dongwoo replied.

"You know what he had been through, hyung," Myungsoo added, a bit sadness could be heard from his tone.

"He's still afraid, isn't he?" Woohyun questioned.

Myungsoo and Dongwoo gave a positive expression and then Woohyun replied, "then, all of these are just...?"

"Temporary happiness?" Hoya suggested.

"I bet Soyu's the only one who can save him now, I just know."

Trust Woohyun for all his extraordinary senses that all come true.

As both played the game, the two didn't notice that it was already turning into night. Soyu finally ended up the game, beads of sweat were dripping on her face as she made her way down and Sunggyu caught her.

"That pose of yours is the lamest thing ever...that I've ever copied from you that i thought i'd never be able to do."

"Well, who knows you're a great actor, Sunggyu."

I think I am.

Both rested on the bench when Sunggyu stood up and called her, "let's go to the grocery store, I'm hungry."

Both made their way to the nearesr convinient store but unfortunately it was closed for the hour.

"Don't tell me you have a key, too," Soyu said as she gazed her eyes on the sign.

Sunggyu pulled a metal from hewr pocket and held it in the air, Soyu looked at it, and Sunggyu glanced at her, "Yass, I do."

Soyu cracked a big grin and made their way inside. Soyu pulled out a cart and ran towards the shelf.

"So thia is all free?!" Soyu yelled from the other side as Sunggyu tried to find her in between the shelves.

"Yes,get whatever you want, my family owns this."

Finally, he found her getting some chips below, "you're telling me burgers could kill me and now you're gonna munch on some junk food,"

"Yeah, I know, it's just now, i haven't eaten one since last year."

Sunggyu smiled as he made his way to her and lifted her up and sat her on the cart, "enjoy the ride, princess."

There were sounds of laughter, as Sunggyu pushed the cart in between the shelves, and he admitted to himself he was enjoying his time with her.

But stopping for a while, thoughts were passing again through his head. He helped Soyu get up from the cart as she finally breathed the air. She noticed his sudden silence and she spoke up to him,

"You okay, Gyu?"

Sunggyu snapped out of his senses, and looked at her, and replied, "oh yeah, i'm right...alright."

There was a short silence and Sunggyu looked back at her, right directly to her eyes, "let's get you home," he said in a strict tone.

As he was about to pull her, Soyu wagged away and spoke, "Sunggyu, why do you keep on interrupting times like this, huh?!"

He could hear the rage in her tone, as kept his back face her, and then finally got the guts to turn around.

He could see the pain in her eyes. Ofcourse, he loved staying in that ambiance, but the fact he might fell, he'd rather kill the fire than to get burned.

"Let's go home, Soyu, it's getting late."

"I am not leaving until you tell me why you're all being such a jerk and why...why do you keep on interrupting things?" She said, a bit yelling, but she made it soft on the other part of her sentence.

Sunggyu sighed. He didn't know if he'd leave her with her unanswered question, or he'd tell her.

Sunggyu slowly walked towards her, her curled brows were fading away as Sunggyu took both her hands.

"Do you...are you having feelings for me?"

"What kind of question is that?!"

"Just answer me,"

Sunggyu is the man of many fears. He fear lots of consequences, that might lead to pain. He feared that he might fell on the same trap he had been. Sure, Soyu is a girl, ofcourse. But as the time he knew her more, she has something.

"...you, do you have feelings for me?"

Soyu is a woman of courage. She's fearless. Maybe she had rejected men before, but she knew that it was time to give someone a chance, and she made sure that she had chosen the right man.

Soyu could read his eyes as it disconnected from hers. His hands slipping from her, but Soyu kept the grip.

"Let's not fall inlove, Soyu, we don't know each other very well yet,"

Soyu fell on a shock. She didn't know if they were on the same page or what.

"Actually, I'm...I'm a little scared, I'm sorry. Let's not make promises, we never know when tomorrow comes and what give us," he paused for a while as Soyu kept her eyes on him.

"But..."

Everything flashed back in his head. From the begining he met her, from the hand shake, from the first 'hello' and 'goodbye' with matching wave, from the moment he'd look at her on her every mood--includes her beastmode--from the time both would smile at each other.

Sunggyu's an for everything, he's a nutshell. He's hard to break.

"...I really mean it when I say I like you."

~~

The End,

Days turned into weeks. Weeks faded into months, and months continued into years. How long would they last? Soyu as the fearless but bad girl as she is, and Sunggyu as…would he still live in fear?

~~

I’m betting on you
I can’t just let you go like this

Bet a bad girl.

~~

A/N: Dun dun dunnnnn. One shot done. So, the ending gives you a hint to a sequel? :D
