KISSING AN ANGEL

All Kangin had ever dreamed of is to kiss this angel sitting beside him. The angel doesn’t have to know about it, about his secret feelings for him. Just a kiss, a secret kiss and he can live forever happy. A chance was all he was waiting for.
“Aaah~” Eeteuk stretched his arms, sitting on a wooden bench settled at the rooftop of the SM building. A beautiful garden of flowery plants surrounds them. This garden was made for resting after a tiring practice. “So tired!”
Kangin, sitting next to their leader, Eeteuk, chuckled seeing the cute pout formed on the latter’s face after a while. He loves the pout so much. "We all do, Hyung."
"When’s the next practice?"
He shrugged, “Manager-hyung said we can rest for two hours, I guess.”
“Oh, okay. I think that’s nice.” Eeteuk said then yawned.
A comfortable silence overflowed as they watched the clouds slowly deforming up in the blue sky. It was a beautiful day indeed. In a moment like this, no words are needed to feel comfortable. Being best friends for too long now, being awkward with one another is already impossible. They could sit there all day without talking but just savoring the moment of peace and the day would still be wonderful.
Kangin took a deep breath before letting it out with a contented smile on his face. He was tired for sure. Being part of the entertainment industry is no doubt tiring. But even the slightest fatigue is all forgotten whenever he’s with Eeteuk, even just by sitting next to him. His angel’s presence with smile added to that can take all the stress away, burying it deep down somewhere, forgotten.
How he wished he could tell Eeteuk about his true feelings and show him how lucky he is for having an angel like him. But he knew he couldn’t. Consequences of it are dangerous. He doesn’t have the strength to take risk.
Suddenly, Kangin paused stiff when he left a weight on his shoulder. He slowly turned his head only to be surprised seeing Eeteuk’s head rested on him. This time, it was his heart that stopped beating. And when his heart began to beat again, it did faster than it normally should.
‘I’m okay. I’m okay. It’s just my biggest crush sleeping beautifully on my shoulder, like my heart would burst out from my chest and it would kill me with heart attack. I’m okay. I’m okay.’
But then, the moment he accidentally spotted Eeteuk’s unguarded, tempting lips, Kangin swallowed hard as his mind shut down.
He.
With sleeping Eeteuk.
Alone.
No other people.
Just them.
Right there and then, Kangin knew a chance was finally given to him.
Slowly, Kangin leaned down forward with the loud sound of his heart’s crazy beating as the only sound he could hear. He closed his eyes when his lips are a couple of inches away from the sleeping man.
One kiss. Just only one kiss. Please, let me have it.

Kangin quickly opened his eyes and blink, seeing Eeteuk’s lips an inch away from him. He turned to look at to where the click sound came from. But when he found out, he had the scariest moment of his life.
"Well, well. This picture can gain me more followers on twitter." Heechul smirked, holding up his cellphone with a photo of Kangin's face too close from Eeteuk's face. "I can imagine KangTeuk fans going crazy."
Kangin blushed so hard, eyes wide. "You won’t dare"
Heechul smirked more, "I wonder what will Eeteuk say if he sees this."
Kangin was furiously alarmed at Heechul’s threat. The fear he felt was transformed into anger as he narrowed his eyes at his evil hyung. “Kim Heechul, don’t you dare!”
His threatening voice didn’t affect Heechul even a little as the latter stared at him evilly, “Try me, Kim Youngwoon.” Just a second after, he suddenly ran when Kangin abruptly got up and ran towards him. He laughed like a crazy man while running for dear life.
Kangin ran as fast as he could. He just wished he didn't hurt Eeteuk when he quickly got up to chase a wild cat. He knew for sure Heechul wasn't bluffing. Heechul was known for his words. When he said you'll die, start praying because you will.
His case now was no different. If that picture spread, he will not be allowed to live, anymore.
They ran on the hallways, stairs, going around the whole building. People were staring at them confusedly, some annoyingly, while others just didn't care. They were used to this.
Feeling tired, Kangin stopped on the stairs, holding his side while catching up his breath. Heechul did the same when he saw him stopped.
"Tired already? Pfft! That's what you get from gaining weight!" Heechul laughed out loud, echoing around the hallway.
"You are double dead, you brat! I’ll make sure Hankyung will cook you without him knowing it was you!" Kangin threatened, and wasn't thinking of bluff this time.
"Ooh! Scary!" Heechul made a face like of a scared man before laughing once again. He danced right after, "You better run, run, run, run, run~"
Kangin growled like a wild bear as he started running again.
After some minutes of more running, chasing, cursing and teasing, Heechul was able to get away from Kangin’s sight.
Kangin sat on the floor somewhere on the third floor with his feet becoming numb from running. He couldn’t believe he wasn’t able to get Heechul. He sighed in defeat. Now that Heechul escaped and probably on his way uploading the picture in the internet, he’s better off dead. So he held his neck with his hands and choked himself. He’ll die later, anyway. Why wait for that to happen?
Coughing, he dropped his hands on his side, sadness filling his heart. He could just imagining Eeteuk’s reaction seeing the picture. Eeteuk will hate him. He will look at him with disgust. But he can’t blame Eeteuk, and he can’t blame himself, too, for loving him. He just loves the angel so much.
He pouted like a child.
Before Eeteuk could hate him, he wanted to hug him for one last time. Things won’t be the same, anymore, after Evil Heechul spread the picture over the internet. So he got up to head towards where he left Eeteuk.
If he dies, he will haunt Heechul for sure.
Upon reaching the garden at the rooftop, his only hope of hugging his angel one last time vanished in the thin air and joined the clouds up above, seeing Heechul standing next to Eeteuk.
"Picture sent!" Heechul chirped deviously, skipping towards the exit. "Enjoy!"
The two were alone once again. Kangin watched and waited for any reaction from Eeteuk as the latter stared at the picture Heechul sent to him. The picture is surely where he was almost kissing Eeteuk. He felt the world crashing down on him when Eeteuk’s eyes widened in shock and his face was reddened with, Kangin assumed, anger.
I can’t have my last hug now?
"K-Kangin...you..." Eeteuk showed him the picture while his other hand covering his mouth.
Kangin sighed. What else can he do?
"I know. I disgust you. And I'm sorry."
He felt million knives stabbing his heart, tearing it into many. If he could only die right then on the spot, he will be willing to accept it rather than feel this pain.
"You were to k-k-kiss me..."
"Y-yeah...you were unconsciously tempting me. And...and...okay! I love you, alright?! I love you more than just being best friend! I'm so in love with you! There I said it!"
Eeteuk gasped.
Yeah, this is it. He had seen this coming, but clearly in a wrong time. Eeteuk hates him now. How can Heechul be so evil?
Kangin looked down when Eeteuk started walking towards him. He closed his eyes when Eeteuk stopped in front of him. He expected a slap on his face then Eeteuk will walk away, signaling the end of their best-friendship. After all of this chaos, he will leave for sure. He knew his presence will be a burden for Eeteuk. He didn’t want to cause him any burden. It was the only way because Eeteuk hates him now. His angel hates him. His only best friend hates—
He looked up when instead of a painful slap, he felt a pair of warm hands cupping his face. He was welcomed by the sweetest angelic smile.
"If you wanted to kiss me, then why didn’t you wake me up?”
