Chapter 1
My name's Kris.-
You slam your body on your bed and close your tired eyes. "I just had dinner and now i'm lying down. Great." You say to yourself, feeling really guilty because you just ate so much and now you're already about to sleep on bed. You really wanna sleep but its not even nine at night, you're scared you might wake up too early at dawn.
And then a thought comes to your mind.
That tall guy?
You remember very well the way he dressed. The way his hand touches your shoulder a week ago, you can still feel it even up till now.
His sharp gaze that actually has the ability to soften people's heart. His cocky and cold expression.
And mostly.. the way he say your name. The fact that he mistook you for someone.. the way he looked at you wasn't just anything small and simple. It was full of fear, curiosity and.. longing?
He must have mistook you for someone that's more than just 'another' person to him. It amazes you that someone else out there that looks pretty much like you.. has the same name as you too.
Something feels strange, but its probably just how amazed you are by the fact that the world can be really really unpredictable at times.
Today, you again walk through the same path you always go through everytime you got back from school. Today is different, its a bit chaotic and your mood isn't really good. Today is exceptionally cold and there's nothing more you wanna do than cuddle with all your pillows under a warm blanket, listening to your favourite music and falling asleep until whenever you want since tomorrow is a weekend. -
"At least i did all my homeworks already." You cheer yourself up as you were really pissed that school was dissmissed at 9:15 p.m just now.
Being a senior high school student sure is something. -
To your luck, a bus immediately comes after you wait for only around one minute in the bus stop. You walk leisurely since there are only a few people there.
- As you enter you scan around the inside of the bus and decides to sit at the last row of the bus as its far away from where the others are sitting. You sit there and let out a sigh, as if the weight of the world is on you.
- "Having a bad day?" You turn your head to the source of the sound in reflex.
- ..Him? That tall guy? Still with his earphone hanging messily to the back of his shoulder. He's standing a meters away from you, holding on to the handle that looks so close to his head, due to his height. Why is he standing though? When there's a lot of empty chairs? More to that.. why is he here?
- "You..?" He smiles for the first time, he raises one end of his lips but it did not look like a smirk. It looks.. warm. Well, that's what you thought, at least.
"Me."
"How are you here?" He looks around before answering, "i thought this is a public transportation?"
"Ah.. yeah.. I'm sorry." You say as you rub your nape awkwardly. The next thing he does makes things weird for you. He moves to sit next to you, right. next to you. You suddenly feel the atmosphere turning hot as the side of his body touches yours. Why are you feeling this way? Is it because he's attractive? Or is it because you've never actually interacted properly with a guy before? - "Why are you aplogizing?"
"That.. i'm so.." - "My name's Kris." You look at him as he mention his name. Huh? You did not even ask him his name. Why did he...?
- "Do i look like an alien?" He asks, reading your mind.
- "N-no i-" And then he smiles again.
Suddenly all you can think of is what the books had said all these times. Heart beat races? No way, i can't even feel my heart. What's this thing? "My name's Kris and.. i like basketball."
That's pretty weird for an introduction. Especially when you didn't ask him to introduce himself. But he sounded so sincere...
"I'm [y/n] and i like..." You pause, not knowing what to answer. Well... you really have no idea on what to say but in addition to that, you start losing control of your right mind. Yes, yes. Just because he's sitting so close to you that you can feel his cold arms against yours and how his scent starts to flow around. Your mind is even in the process of memorizing the scent without you realising it yourself. The scent of this tall guy.. Kris. - "Was my introduction weird?" He breaks the silence you created.
"Yeah, a little." And then he clears his throat before flashing a sneaky (but still a so-damn-fine and warm) smile. - "My name's Kris and i'm awkward."
"Ah.... your name's Kris. And.. you're weird?" You slowly grasps things and tag along with this weird yet fun conversation. - "My name's Kris and i like sleeping."
Wow! I'm awkward and a huge sleeper too. You say inside your head as you chuckle silently.
"Your name's Kris and you're really tall." - "My name's Kris and i wanna travel to the entire galaxy." You hold your laughter. Galaxy? That's really weird..
- "Your name's Kris and you look cold." You finally answer him.
"My name's Kris.." he pauses, "And i'm happy to meet [y/n]." You wrinkle your forehead. His sentence sounds weird. No.. he's an alien to start with.
Isn't it usually 'its nice to meet you'? - "Me too." You answer anyway. He looks like a nice guy, - despite his cold looking face - you believe the moment he smiled, that his face was just... a great cover up. "Ah, i need to go down here!" You say as you stand up and look at your new friend, Kris. "I gotta go, see you... another time!" You flash a sincere smile and walk away.
Kris did not say a thing, you walked away even before he could smile at you.
He's still sitting at the same spot and the bus has started moving for around five minutes. After hesitating and fighting with his own self he immediately stands up to press the bell.
He throws away and agree with the fact that he's impatient, rushes down and out of the bus as soon as the door opens and run back, towards a certain someone.
