Why I love it:
My type of stories are very eccentric to put it simply but what they all have in common is a very intricate, say, grammar compactness (not at all perfect but almost there). In this one, it seems a little different. I'm not saying that it has bad grammar or anything, it's just that it has a lot of conventions that it failed to observe over and over again (e.g. Jihoon's/Seungcheol's would be written as Jihoons/Seungcheols, and than would be written as then). These are little things that if you look at it would be tolerable but having to constantly encounter them is a bit... uncomfortable to say the least.
Say then, why am I including this in my recommendation list? No simpler reason than, it was a good read despite the mistakes (if I can call them that). The story appeals to people who, like Seungcheol, had gotten their hearts broken and are now afraid of failing in love for another time. Who, like Jihoon, are as clueless as everyone was when they first fell head over heels in love with someone.
The story was able to convey feelings of uncertainty both in Seungcheol and in Jihoon's case. It also has this certain charm that it was able to capture how and what goes in the mind of any people in the receiving end of a starting relationship, the overthinking, the over reactions, and even the overly dramatized plea for help.
Another thing that enchanted me would be Jun and Minghao's characterization. This story, the author specifically, had their stage personalities very apparent however it was underlined by a very mysterious and compelling set of alternate (if I could loosely term it as that) personalities that I couldn't and wouldn't have imagined ever.
Lastly, before I end this, I'd also like to commend the author for the realistic portrayal of a starting relationship, that much has given me so much delight in taking a chance, a proper chance to read this all in one sitting.
Disclaimer: Having grown up in a conservative culture that values the amount of time spent together, I'd say this is a bit fast paced for me but as I'm very much aware that it is different for other cultures, I have come to understand the pace of the story.
Apologies for the long "why I love this fic" part that no one reads... Also, apologies for the long wait but I hope that you give this fanfic a chance and read it for yourself! Tell me what you guys think! :) Until then, enjoy Seventeen's comeback! <3
