A girl not older than 10 ran to the boy who was the same age as her with bright smile.

"Khunnie, you're here!" the girl said happily.
"Qian! I missed you!" the boy said and hugged the girl tightly.
"I  can't breathe!" the girl whined.
"You always say that when I hug you!" the boy whined.
"Because it's true!" the girl retorted.
"Stop it, you kids!" the girl's mother said. "Khun, how's the visit to your grandmother?" she asked.
"It's good, Auntie" the boy answered.
"Ma, can Khun and I go play now?" the girl asked.
"Fine, just don't go too far" the girl's mother reminded them.
"Ne!" both children said as they ran to go to their usual place.

A girl not older than 17 shook her head as she remembered that memory once again.

"Focus, Victoria. Focus" the girl said as she continued to browse her book for she has an exam tomorrow. 

She once again failed when another memory came flashing once again.

"Promise me" A girl, hair tied in a ponytail told the boy beside her as they lied on the grass.
"What?" The boy asked, hair messed up.
"That we'll always be with each other" the girl said.
"I promise" the boy said and the two of them intertwined their pinkies.
"Don't you ever break it!" the girl said.
"I won't" the boy said with a smile.

She cried as the memory of the day they promised to be always with each other came flashing by.

"You said that you will never break our promise, why did you?" she asked but no one was there to answer.

Day came by faster than expected and her eyes were red from crying because of that memory. She went to school where she saw her friend waiting for her.

"Yah, did you cry?" her friend asked.
"I didn't sleep" she reasoned out.
"Yah, Song Qian. I know the difference between those two" her friend said.
"Let's just go" she said and went to their class.
"Yah, Victoria!" her friend called her and ran towards her. "How dare you leave me all alone!" she said while catching up.

During the exam, her mind was floating away. Her mood was changed by those memories. She senselessly answered the questions as memories kept flashing back.

"Ma, did Khunnie came by?" she asked.

Her mother looked at her with a sad expression and gave her a letter.

"Qian-ah, Khunnie came by to give you this but he left already" her mother said.
"Why?" she asked.
"His parents took him to live with them to Thailand" her mother said.
"What?" she asked.
"He gave me that letter because you're still not home at that time" her mother said.
"But he promised" she mumbled.

"Yah! Are you spacing out again?" her friend asked.
"Sorry, I was just thinking" she said.
"You're thinking about Nichkhun, aren't you?" her friend asked.
"Shut up, Miyoung" she said.
"What? I'm right!" her friend said. "Yah, you're leaving me again?" she whined when she saw her stood up.
"I'm going somewhere" she said.
"Are you going to that place again?" her friend asked. She just nod silently. "Fine, but don't go crying" she said before she hugged her friend and watched her leave,

She went to their usual place, where she spends her time thinking and letting all her feelings out.

She went to her room, and read the letter he left.

Qian, I'm sorry if I couldn't keep my promise but don't you worry.
I will write to you so that you won't get sad. I promise, I'll come
back. I won't forget you. You're my best friend and I love you.
