Real Girls Don't Wear Make-Up

Description

Min Jung, Sun Hi, Jae Hwa, Hae Na, and Tae Hee are members of a new all-girl Korean pop/hip-hop band called G.I.R.L. (Girls in Real Life). G.I.R.L. is a new kind of girl band that Cube Entertainment is trying to launch, in which none of the girls are permitted to wear make-up on stage or on camera, recieve any kind of non-medical related plastic surgery, or partake in any illegal/indecent activities. Breaking these rules will result in suspension/removal from the group. Cube Entertainment's motive for this is to try to give Korean society a more basic outlook on people, love, and real life.

However, the group's debut has been put off for six months due to financial troubles, the leader's recent diagnosis of laryngitis, and personal conflicts between the five girls. Cube Entertainment has given the girls this stretch of time to stitch up their group relationships, allow leader-unni's vocal cords to recover, and for the girls to raise some money to help fund their debut. Hoping to receive some advice from their oppas, the members of G.I.R.L. look to Beast for some advice. But it seems that Beast is willing to give the girls more than just career advice! Could the boy band's help end up having a negative effect on the girls' careers, or will it turn out for the better?

Rating: PG-13 for language, some violence, and mild romantic scenes.

Foreword

I dislike forewards, so I'll just leave you guys with some character information. ;D This is in order of appearance in the banner above, from left to right.

Characters:

Min Jung:

Affectionately called Minnie by those close to her, Min Jung is the leader of G.I.R.L. and just may be the reason for the chaos that has engulfed the group. She recently came down with laryngitis; perhaps she was working that mouth too much while spreading dirty lies amongst other K-idols? Although she is twenty-one years of age, Minnie still seems to have that high school complex. In G.I.R.L., she is the main dancer and is one of the ier ones of the group.

Jae Hwa:

Jae Hwa is twenty years of age and provides the main vocals of the group. A few of her stage names include Jay, JJ, and Jazz, Jazz being the favorite amongst fans. Jae looks to be a y (though not as much as Minnie) girl on stage and on camera, but anywhere else and you'll see she prefers sweatpants to tight leather pants. Jae is usually the one who tries to calm down heated arguments and, because of this, usually finds herself in the middle of unwanted fights.

Tae Hee:

The second most frequent singer of G.I.R.L. is Tae Hee, an incredibly tiny yet spunky idol nineteen year old. She is quite the sight to see when she raps (which is her specialty), dancing around with short, waving blonde hair. Tae Hee is the tomboy of the group despite what her hair color may imply, and has a great love for leather boots. She and Hae Na are the closest of the group most likely because their personalities are the most similar. However, Tae Hee has no patience whatsoever and tends to get a bit bratty at times. Although she does not mean to be rude, she has too much pride to apologize.

Sun Hi:

Sunni has been labeled the aegyo of the group. She is known for being bouncy, adorable, peppy, and has a strong liking for pigtails. After Min Jung, she is the best dancer in the group, though her style is more 'cute' than anything else. Although she does have a good voice, she receives the least amount of solos in their songs. Sun Hi is eightteen years old; the youngest member in the group.

Hae Na:

Whenever Haena comes onstage with her hair tied back, fans know they're in for a huge hair-whipping session. Haena, as she prefers to be called, in known for being the most energetic and charismatic of the group, always flying around on stage and usually talking for the longest amount of time on TV interviews. She does a fair amount of singing and dancing, and is usually the one dancing alongside Minnie during the most intense dancing sequences. Haena is generally laid back like Jae, and she has more patience than a brick wall. Seemingly nothing can get through her 'coolness', although sometimes this can be a problem. She is twenty years of age.

This seems like a really unique story and gives out a good message that make-up isn't everything and u don't need it to be beautiful ^^
and the fact that BEAST is involved is just a bonus ;P
Hmm, this seems quite an interesting story concept already; I enjoy the simplicity yet originality of such works. A girl group that isn't allowed to be fake? That's quite an amazing feat right there, and an intriguing way to get Beast to meet them. From the foreword, I am fond of your writing style as well, seeing as it has a mature edge to it! Although Beast isn't a group I really pay attention to, except for Kikwang and Junhyung, this fic seems interesting enough. :D I'm looking forward to see how this will play out, so I shall subscribe! I'll be waiting for the first chapter. (:
