One of Our Kind
Description
Rather than calling Kim Remi abnormal, ‘unique’ would be a nicer word. While many attending high schools would be worrying about their education or their future aspirations, Remi would prefer to think about the hidden adventures and lark outside the busy city of Seoul. Deciding one day that after graduating with a diploma in photography, Remi would like to try photographing for World Wonders editing team with the secret excuse to experience the world’s best escapade and caper. Appointed with a traveller, Oh Sehun, to help her on her first photography project for the magazine company, Remi tries to perceive Sehun’s cold exterior.
Spending more time together than two complete strangers would, they end up discovering more than the adventure they both seek: each other. But when their little rove come to an end, what will fate decide for them?

Dear readers,
So here's my first written story. I hope through this short story, I could ingrain this message for all readers: The best journeys in life are those that answer questions you never thought to ask; a quote by Rick Ridgeway, a mountaineer and adventurer. The purpose of this story is for readers to realise that one way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure. Perhaps through this story, readers would be able to realise too, that life is beyond anyone's control. As the famous quote says: Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. And so before you complain about your problems and misfortunes, remember that everything happens for a reason. How it turns out, in the end, is not up to us to decide but the decisions that we make that affect it.
A prominent writer I would like to bring up here is Nicholas Sparks. Life, he realises, was much like a song. In the beginning, there is mystery, in the end, there is confirmation, but it's in the middle where all the emotion resides to make the whole thing worthwhile. Through his realisation, I think it's important for everyone to make their own perceptions of life too. Ask yourself often the question, "What is the meaning of life?" The answer to it is a philosophical and spiritual conception of the significance of living or existence in general. Hence, there are bound to be ambiguity and variations of our own interpretations of life.
In 'One of Our Kind', it shows the adventurous kind of people in the world like Sehun and Remi who are brave enough to pursue their individual 'meanings of life'. And so... the adventure begins.
