Meant To Be

Description

Somewhere between Jiho's silence and pointless relationships, Jihoon came along.

Foreword

Who Jiho is, wasn’t allowed.

He can’t broadcast who he is to the world, not when he was going to have millions of female fans. When Mr. Lee found out he wasn’t interested in the opposite gender, Jiho was forced to suppress his true self or his music career is over.

Jiho loved music.

And he was willing to sacrifice.

The first few years during training were fine, Jiho just isolated himself and focused on training to be an idol. Occasionally he will mingle with other female trainees who found him attractive. Even if his relationships never reached the bed, he was trying his best to convince all those around him (and himself) that he was indeed straight. He admits that he enjoyed the kisses, their little dates and gestures, and his partners were always very nice.

But he still hated it.

Kyung was the only one who knew about his uality, and it frustrated him, he wanted Jiho to be happy, but seeing as how determined he was, nothing he said was enough to convince the aspiring rapper.

Then he was placed in the BlockBuster Project.

When he met his partners, to be perfectly honest, they don’t look like your regular Korean boy band. Everyone had decent looks and were very talented, but no one had rippling abs and muscles, no one took annoyingly copious amounts of selfies, and no one acted like a regular Korean boy band either.

There were many instances where after 10 hours of dancing, they would sit together in the middle of the dance studio, talking from topic to topic. Jiho would just sit silently and nod at all the other members, occasionally throwing a couple of smart remarks, but he usually just remained aloof.

Other members just passed his silence of as shyness, and Jiho appreciated the fact that they decided to let him be, except Jihoon.

Jihoon was the youngest amongst them, yet his voice was the most developed. When he approached Jiho with that goofy smile he did not expect a growling, deep voice behind it. Jiho tried to isolate himself from this man by giving scant replies and staying quiet.

But goddammit it’s so ing hard.

Jihoon was so funny. He knew all of Jiho’s humour chords, he knew what to say to get him laughing for hours. And his smile, that big smile of his, whenever Jiho sees it he just gets a slight tug at his heartstrings.

It was as if the universe decided they’ve had enough of his and sent Jihoon here.

It was because of Jihoon, Jiho started to warm up to the other group members, much to their surprise. Jiho and Jihoon would sometimes race each other to the café near the Stardom Company, and just chat endlessly until the owner had to politely but firmly ask them to leave.

For some reason, he never really did have to worry about being attracted to the other members anymore.

Then Mino left.

Amongst the members, Jihoon took it the hardest. He became rather quiet during practice and would often leave right after practice ended. The remaining six members were all worried sick for their maknae’s behaviour, especially Jiho. So he took him upon himself to bring Jihoon back.

After weeks of counselling and ice cream (not alcohol, they haven’t reached the legal age yet) Jihoon was finally back to his usual cheery self again. When Jiho saw his smile, heard his deep laughter ringing by his ears, he realized something.

There was no use denying it now, the truth was right there, and Jiho was more than prepared to accept it. No more fooling around with women, no more pointless convincing, he was just going to stay point blunt honest.

He had fallen for Jihoon.

And he was okay with that.

And somehow someway, he felt that Jihoon was too.
