Note: This is set post GD/Kiko break-up, during Infinity Challenge canon.
So I did the thing. I fell into the (admittedly blow-your-mind great) bandwagon that is GD/IU. I ship them so hard right now, it's insane. It's also insane how I treat IU like my fandom little black dress and ship her with everything that walks. But it can't be helped. They visuals themselves render me helpless. All of Infinity Challenge was one long tease and then a surprise collaboration? HOW DO YOU LIVE WITH YOURSELF, IC?
I'm going to do the same thing I did with And Everything You Touch Turns To Gold and essentially break a one-shot into parts and then make it a one-shot again once I'm done. It helps me think that way. Or maybe I'm just a confusing person in general /shrug.
[ALSO, Fair warning, because I find it so hard to completely break away from canonical happenings (i.e. rush romance where canon doesn't provide an explicit link- I think writing boyband members/members fic will help me get over this issue, since it's easy to imagine them actually be together in secret since they're together constantly heh, while for het idol couples with barely any visible interaction, it's a lot more difficult, considering the industry) this is mostly Jiyong centric on moving on. It isn't outright romance. I don't usually add this ~warning but I feel like the expectations ≠ what this will be, sorry! And to write 9000 words and get an 'is that it?!' as a comment can be sort of disheartening, so I decided to preempt it :P]
