This holiday season, give and receive the gift of a fic written specially for you!

How will this work?

Sign up for the Secret Santa event by subscribing and leaving a comment below with your prompt! The deadline for sign-ups is October 1. After this day, prompts will be sent out through PM. You will then have until December 20 to send in your fic! (You can send it in earlier if you’d like.) Your fic will be posted up as a chapter here with the chapter title as the username of the person you wrote for. Once all the fics are up, a list will be posted of the Secret Santas and the fics they wrote!

Make sure you read all the information and rules below before joining!

 

What can I give as a prompt?

It can be a quote, a song pairing, a line of dialogue, a situation, etc. Be as creative as you like, or you can say something that you would really like to read. Please don't be overly specific—leave the author some space to do their own thing!

 

Are there any other rules?

  1. For this event, please keep your pairings member/member only.

  2. If there are any pairings that you absolutely will not write, add that along with your prompt in your comment. If you have a preferred pairing to write, you can add that as well!

  3. No revealing to the person that you wrote for or posting your fic to your account until the Secret Santas have been revealed.

  4. Please keep your writing PG-15. ual themes are allowed but to keep everyone happy, no detailed . Titles for your fic are not necessary.

  5. The minimum word count for your fic should be around 2000 words.

  6. Make sure that you proofread; what you submit is what will be posted!

  7. If you would like to sign up as a backup writer, just in case some assigned prompts do not get completed, please also let us know in your comment!

 

 

I want to take part, what should I do?

  1. Subscribe to this story.

  2. Comment after subscribing with your prompt. If you can’t think of a prompt you’d like to be written immediately, you have until October 1 to submit one, so for now, you can just subscribe! You can also add which pairings you prefer to write for and which pairings you cannot write for in your comment.

  3. Wait until after October 1, which is when all fic prompts will be sent out through PM.

  4. Write your fic according to your prompt and submit it to us through PM. If you need to email your fic in document form, we will provide an email to send it to.

  5. Read the fics posted here in the meantime until the big reveal in January!

Pairing: Jikook
Prompt: something within the context of any canon Jikook moment during or after the I NEED U era. I like a little angst and a little fluff. Happy endings preferred.

I only really write Jikook (most of my stuff is on Tumblr on the polkari-seuta blog), but I'm willing to try Vmin, VHope, or Yoonmin. I've never written M/M but I can try.

Pairing: Namjin or Yoonseok
Prompt: based off either of (or both of) these quotes with a fluff ending (the whole thing can be angst af prior):
"Because one day, the world will come to realize how much they have wronged this young boy and pay the full price for their actions."
"And soon, all the world will be in love with night"

I'm actually new to writing for BTS so right now I'm only comfortable with writing for Namjin and Yoonseok (I could do VMin though).

Pairing: Either Namjin or VKook
Prompt: write a fic based off this quote: "Break a vase, and the love that reassembles the fragments is stronger than that love which took its symmetry for granted when it was whole." — Derek Walcott

I'd be willing to write for YoonMin, NamJin, or VKook^^ (Preferably those three, but I can be flexible with others :D) And, no please, it's really not my thing >.<

pairing: taehyung/jungkook
prompt: a fic where everyone in school thinks that jungkook is a god (with his smarts, looks and talent) and worships his awesomeness, but unfortunately for him, new kid taehyung is an atheist so he does not believe in gods.
or alternatively: just a fluffy fic where jungkook thinks he's all that but taehyung is not impressed so jungkook makes it his life's mission to win taehyung's heart

i'd prefer to write taekook or yoonmin! i'm fine with other pairings except for other taehyung and jungkook ships (taekook is my otp so i don't want them paired with others lol). as for the story, i'd love to write fluff and AUs and no pls (i at )! :))

prompt: a fic based on vixx lr's beautiful liar because i love dying :)))))

i'll write any pairing and any genre! i can also be a backup writer if you need one!

Pairing: jikook - Jimin has an accident on stage and Kookie gets jealous of how protective the members get over him. Optional bonus: the most protective member is Yoongi ^-^

As for me, I'm fine writing nearly any pairing. I prefer ones involving Jimin (cos I'm Jimin trash) but I'm perfectly fine writing others as well! The only ship that I've never been able to write is taekook. Thanks OP!

pairing: yoongi/jimin (can be het, if you would like)
prompt: fluffy single parent!au where yoongi's a single parent and wants to give his son/daughter dance lessons because they're extremely interested. after extensive research, they go to the studio closest to them and yoongi sees jimin and is absolutely interested that he forgets the reason he was even there. bonus if the kid is really great at dancing and yoonmin spend a lot of time together and the kid accidently calls jimin daddy/mommy/whatever

i'm fine with almost every ship in bts other than jikook! i really love writing yoonmin, namjin and yoonjin but i'm very lenient with pairings~ thank you!

pairing: taehyung/jungkook or taehyung/jimin
prompt: fluffy modern royalty au with prince!tae or au where taehyung is the son of the president (whichever's easier to write). you can add a little angst if you want but just a little

I would really prefer writing only Taehyung ships (I can also write ot3s or Taehyung/everyone if there are prompts like.) Thank you!
