When Jisoo’s billionaire father begins funding a post-grad student’s search for Homo erectus, she reluctantly tags along, much to the chagrin of leading on-site paleoanthropologist, Park Jinyoung. While searching for the millions-of-years dead, Jisoo soon finds herself inexplicably drawn to the arrogant but charismatic young scientist.

On the last day of summer, Jisoo kisses her best friend, Jinyoung, but things grow cold and awkward when he doesn't kiss her back. Five years later, a defeated Jisoo returns to her hometown after failing to jumpstart her acting career. To make the walk of shame even worse, Jinyoung is also back in town with a snazzy new accounting degree and a cosmopolitan girlfriend. The earth turns and summer fades into fall, but little ever changes in this town.
