An hour later, they were sitting on the floor, textbooks abandoned, as they shared some takeout chicken. They were startled by Taehyung throwing the door open, already talking. “Jimin! Why can I smell food? How can you be having a late night snack without…. Hello.” Emily waved at him, a chicken leg still in her hand.
“Oh my god.” She whispered to herself as the roar of the crowd penetrated into the van. Taehyung took her hand into his and gave her a goofy grin. “Ready?” he asked, his hand on the door handle.
“You better hold on.” He said as he started up the moped. I gingerly gripped onto the back of his jacket. I heard him chuckle. He reached back and grabbed my wrists. He pulled my hands around his body, forcing my hands to interlink at his stomach. “Don’t fall off!” he said with another chuckle as he sped off down the street.
He spared another glance at her, her eyes were closed. The bus hit a bump in the road and her head fell against his shoulder. He immediately froze up. Oh my god what do I do?
For Mai, today started out like any other day. She was hanging out with her friend when suddenly she has to step up and save a child's life, all while trying to look cool in front of her bias. What could go wrong?
Taehyung shook his head almost violently, “No, if anything I’m being under dramatic!” Sora laughed at her friends antics, “If there’s anything you’re not, it’s under dramatic.” She mumbled
“You were so cute.” He teased as he brought up the photos he had taken. “Oh my god, Yoongi! Delete them!” she said as she tried to grab the phone but he took a few steps back and grinned at her. “Delete them? No way. These are going to be the wallpaper on my laptop… and the home screen on my phone.”
I gave them a small smile, it was supposed to be encouraging, but they just looked more anxious. I whispered a “Sorry” to them, I knew they couldn’t hear me, but I knew they understood.
Laura sighed loudly as Jungkook once again destroyed her at their game. “Ugh, seriously Jungkook. Can’t you just let me win once?” she whined. Jungkook laughed and ruffled her hair affectionately. “But it’s not fun if I just let you win.” He said as he beat the high score on the game.
Yoongi was sleeping soundly on the couch in the BTS dorm. Completely unaware of the three people creeping up on him. “Remember, as soon as we’re done. Run.” Taehyung whispered excitedly. The others froze and shushed him as Yoongi changed his position. They let out silent breaths of relief as they slowly made their way up to the sleeping figure.
He went towards their bedroom as he spoke, “Your messages worried me. Then you stopped answering me. Is everything ok… why are you on top of the wardrobe?”
Yoongi spun the dial again. “Left hand green.” He said, a hint of a smirk playing on his face as he noted how little a chance Jimin stood of being able to make the move.
“I don’t know why it’s frustrating me so much. It’s not like we’re dating or anything.” He said more to himself than to me but I still felt like all the air in the room had been out. I felt the burn of tears behind my eyes. Please no. Be strong.
“Yoongi…” she said warily, taking another step back as Yoongi got to his feet. “Yoongi, you know I love you dearly! You’re the best and AHH!” she screamed as Yoongi grabbed her around the waist and pulled her down into the water.
I held my number card tightly, my heart racing as Jungkook’s eyes met mine as the first wave of fans made their way to the back of the room.
He pulled away from me, just enough so that our foreheads were still touching. “Don’t apologise. Just let me worry about you, ok?” I nodded as he wiped away my tears.
I can’t believe Taehyung left me here! I’m gonna kill him. I took a couple of tentative steps forward before glancing over my shoulder again. I can’t believe children can come in here. This is ridiculous… I am a fully grown, mature adult and HOLY F----
If this was a movie, everything would have turned into slow motion. Unfortunately for me, this is real life. I walked right into the patch of ice, my feet flying out from under me, arms flailing like a mockery of a ballet performance as I landed straight on my back. I felt the air force its way out of my chest as I landed on the cold ground.
I quickly looked back down at the mess I’d made, hoping he didn’t notice. Half of me was expecting the cliché scene where we both reach out for the same fork at the same time and our hands overlap scenario, but it never happened. Ugh… I blame Jin for making me watch all those cheesy romance movies.
When she rounded the corner her heart skipped a beat. There he was in his ripped jeans and beanie, his guitar in hand with the case at his feet. She walked up to him quickly and stopped in front of him as he smiled up at her. “You weren’t here.” She mumbled at him. He gave her a grin. “Did you miss me?” he said cheekily making her blush.
“Oh, mighty Taehyung-ah! Please help your freezing girlfriend out of the snow!” she said dramatically making them both laugh.
“Don’t let her see that handsome face of yours frowning.” Said the old lady. The cute guys frown instantly disappeared at her words. “You really think I’m handsome?” he said cheekily and she gently hit his arm. “You’re my grandson, of course you’re handsome.”
It took Namjoon a few seconds to fully understand what Young Ji said, “Wait, you were gonna ask Jin for my number?” he turned around but Young Ji was already out the door.
“She looks just like hyung’s type.” Said the one with all the energy. The shortest guy smiled at his words. “Yeah, she is. She’s super cute.” I blushed at his words. He thinks I'm cute?
“You idiot.” He mumbled into her hair. Rayne wrapped her arms around his waist. “I know, I’m the biggest idiot, but I’m your idiot.” Hobi chuckled, “And don’t you forget it.” He said as he planted a kiss on the top of her head.
