Seulong’s just your typical university drop-out boy, with not so typical abilities. As a boy who was brought up in a temple, things like reincarnation and many other superstitions were perfectly normal, everyday things in life. Members of his family all had special ‘abilities’, except for him. Being the odd one out had all the perks of being jeered at, looked down upon, no one by your side, and ultimately: no happiness. Therefore it was hard for him to believe in such supernatural things.
At the ripe age of 18, Seulong left his hometown in search of a new, happier ‘normal’ life in the big city. In the city he lived the club life and started the music career he always wanted to pursue, forgetting the very reason he was there for. Everything in his life was upside down, until he met her. That fateful person changed him, pushed him, reminded him who he was, and put him back on the right track in life. Their time together was short but sweet, but together they shared laughter and happiness seulong never found, and memories were embedded deep in their hearts. She was too young, that person. Too young to be slaughtered to death by an unknown serial killer whose case was never solved. And just like that he lost his happiness.
However a fateful encounter, an incident, led him to discover his abilities to sense souls of those who were meant to be dead occupying a body of the living. Through that incident he helped the first poor soul he met, to soothe and overcome its regrets of the past. And through that he also found a new source to be happy, a new purpose to live by.
Now, 20–year-old seulong continues to do his music at night and tries his best to help reborn souls he comes across. During broad daylight, he wipes tables and serves customers behind the counters at a bubble tea shop, hoping that the next customer comes in, holds a soul that he’s waiting for.
