CORRECTION: i did my research of the difference between seppuku and harakiri and it turns out seppuku is just the act of impaling yourself with a sword or such as suicide. and harakiri is honorable suicide (through seppuku)

tl;dr: seppuku is stabbing yourself in the tummy
