her Stubbornness and sassy attitude was something she learned from her brother, jun. they were three years apart and jin loved him, often following him around as a child. as they grew older, her brother grew more distant. for what reason? jin didn't know. her curiosity ate her alive and a few weeks after her 18th birthday, she followed jun, trailing him into the forbidden district of gwangjin. unbeknownst to her, she followed her brother into a brothel and only upon her entry did she learn that it belonged to him. before she could voice her anger, an older girl mistook jin as a e and pushed her into a room. she stumbled into a man as she walked out of the room, only to realized it was jun. Surprised at her appearance, jun shoved her into an empty room before interrogating her. he was not pleased with her yet was relieved he was finally able to stop pushing his beloved sister away. happy to have the truth be revealed, she asked her brother if she could join him, to which he reluctantly agreed under the condition that she would not approach drugs or engage in the ual activities of the brothel. she agreed but a mere year later, jun was shot dead as a result of an exchange with another gang. it had drowned her into a pool of despair and she desperately sought a solution to the emptiness his death had created in her heart. she offered her body to men for a price and this practice became a routine as time passed on. after she had earned enough to sustain herself, she rented and moved into an apartment on the edges of gwangjin. in the midst of all, the ownership of the brothel had gone to jin and many of jun's previous assistants were furious. Jin could hardly care anymore. her compassion faded into nothing as jun's death faded to the rest of gwnangjin. studies no longer mattered and she focused on claiming the position of the leader. within two years, jin had successfully claimed the title of 'leader of gwangjin' after the death of the previous leader. during the day, she spends her hours working at a restaurant as a waitress but at night, she returns to the brothel to either finish business or tend to her customers.
