Hyuna was known to have the “perfect” life since birth. She was always an upper class growing up, which caused many problems to occur when she went to certain schools. Her mother was always the one who reassured her when things went bad, or once she needed a friend. It was something difficult to deal with, but she wanted her daughter to grow up living life the way she wanted to live it, not by the rules that were given to her.

Hyuna was known for her knowledge, and her caring heart through the years. Of course, she got that from her mother's side. At first, she didn’t really have a focus on what she wanted to be when she got older, but that was until her mother fell ill to a sickness. After taking care of her, she slowly began to reveal her interest in becoming someone in the nursery field. Her mother, was the first one to agree, and wanted her to again, have the freedom needed. Her father on the other hand was really strict. Some would say that he was just being overprotective, but the rules that he gave her were harsher than most parents. He already had her life planned out the moment she was born. Rumor has it that he didn’t want her at first, since he was too keen on having a little boy instead. But of course, sticking around caused him to love his daughter for who she was, and how she’d turn out to be. She was his little princess in his eyes, and still is today.

But at the age of 16, after fighting a long and deadly battle, her mother couldn’t endure it anymore. It took a long time for Hyuna to heal, and to even go back to school. Even if she suffers from her absence now, it was worse when she was younger. She didn’t know how to handle herself or life in general. About a year later, her father married once again, and was gifted with an older son.

Her stepmother was like those evil mothers in the little Disney movies—or just in any cliché drama. She was greedy, and rude. She forced her father to have his daughter marry off to some unknown rich, and higher class male—despite the love she was already falling for. Not being able to stop her father’s wishes, she ended up meeting the guy, and for once, she actually ENJOYED what her step mother did for her. Even if she wanted her to get out of the house, it was for a good cost. At the time, she was so blinded by his love and his words, that she didn’t see ANY flaws… he had no flaws at all. Yoo Jae was the name he went by, and carried around proudly. He was the guy who changed her life for the better—and for the first.

To make a long story short, as soon as she turned 18, she left home to live with him right away. He was around 21 at the time, and already experienced with the entire world. For the first three months, it felt as if she was living a fairytale, but later on, he began to change. He started coming home late, drenched in alcohol and the smell of other women’s perfume. He began to get aggressive and verbal with his actions—whether if it was hitting her for asking him where he’s been, or simply feeling as if she deserved to be cursed and compared to that day. Even so, she couldn’t tear herself away from him… They’ve been together since she was 16, she was in love, well, she thought it was love… But after a fatal encounter, and the that took place a few months later after the abusing—she decided that it was time to leave.

Kids would always wonder what was going on with her whenever she came to school with bruises all over her body, or a limp or two - three times a week. It was hard to lie to your patients and college students for crying out loud. Now… she lives a life with the past behind her, but occasionally she’s greeted by that… person every once in awhile. Even if she says no, and to stay away it seems as if he does the opposite. But now currently, she lives with Choi Dongwook, a child hood friend, her best friend, and the one she knows she can count on.
