As the youngest and only daughter of the Lee family, Jieun was raised to be obedient. Since they already had a son to inherit the company, all she had to do was be pretty and keep out of trouble. When she was a kid, Jieun had to take many lessons like piano, singing, skating and tons more, some of which she still continues today. Charity events and volunteering were a must, too of course. All to maintain her image as the kind, talented, and beautiful Lee daughter. In return for her cooperation, Jieun has quite a bit of freedom, more than her brother at least. She knows that her sole purpose in this family is to marry off to a rich man so that her father can gain a business partner. No one but her brother and a few other close friends knows about her dream to be a singer, the only thing she's wished for her whole life. The moment she turned 18, she signed to a small entertainment company, specifying that she'd like to be an anonymous singer. Undertaking the stage name IU, she released many songs over the years, becoming a big name in the K-indie industry, all while hiding this from her family. Slowly, she's rising in fame, entering mainstream K-pop and people are demanding to see her face. While her company is putting pressure on her to reveal herself to the public, she's contemplating either giving up her dream or letting her parents find out.
