So they say in order to really get to know someone, you should take a look at their ships.

Let me give you a quick low-down on my OTPs (at least the main ones) and why I ship these couples to death and beyond.

Let's begin!

 

 

Kris/Lay (Fanxing)

 

My number one ship since EXO's debut is basically made up by these two chuckleheads who are more or less perfect for each other. There's about a gazillion names for this pairing (Kray, Krixing, Fanxing, Layris, 21, Dragon and Unicorn, Double Yi, Royal OTP, etc etc) but my all time favorite OTP name is 'Fanxing' which translated to Chinese roughly means 'an array of shining stars' and isn't that just the most romantic name for an OTP ever? I sure think so.

This pairing isn't one of the main ones so it's relatively less known than Taoris and Sulay but ever since EXO's debut, even before I knew any of their names or who the main ships were, I started shipping these two because they have so much chemistry and history between them. They've known each other since the beginning of their trainee years in SMent, they're almost the same age and they're each other's first friend in EXO. Yixing trolls Kris in national television, Kris constantly tries to boss Yixing around (but eventually gets thwarted) and they act like an old married couple whether on camera or not.

I love the little things about them like the difference in their heights and the sizes of their hands. How Yixing's quiet and unassuming but surprisingly funny and mischievous nature contrasts and complements Kris' serious and strict persona. I love how Kris smiles at Yixing when Yixing isn't looking and how Yixing quietly supports Kris in any situation and is always there to back the leader up. I love how when Yixing cries, Kris' arm automatically finds its way around Yixing's shoulders to comfort him and how Kris easily smiles and laughs around Yixing's presence. And I love that Yixing can both compliment and make fun of Kris because they're just that close and Kris will let him get away with anything.

There's so much more I can say about this ship and if allowed, I can probably go all day naming all the reasons why I will ship them until the day I die but yeah, you might as well watch all the EXO-M fancams and variety shows because there's always Fanxing in there.

Basically, my feelings for these two can be summarised in this gif:

 

 

 

Luhan/Lay (Layhan)

 

OMG, this ship. This ing, life-ruining ship. I don't call this ship my second favorite because usually it's a tie between Fanxing and Layhan. I mean, how in the world can you not ship these two?

They're best friends who have the same taste in almost everything and have no sense of personal space around each other. They support each other, are there for each other no matter what and if one of them has a problem, the other stays up to listen. When Yixing got injured, it wasn't Kris or anyone else who was helping him walk and limp to their destinations. It was Lu Han who had his arm around Yixing's waist and helping him walk. It's Lu Han who always has his arm around Yixing's neck when they're walking in airports and Lu Han who waits for Yixing in the airport so they can walk to the van together.

And it's Yixing who's always conniving with Lu Han, the two of them pranking and causing trouble in the dorms. They're not only best friends, they're partners-in-crime who understand each other the best out of all the members. There might be a two or three-year gap between them but that doesn't stop them from being super duper close. Even if there might slim to no chance of them getting together romantically, I can only say that their friendship and love for each other is genuine and amazing.

Sehun/Kai, Luhan/Sehun, Kai/Luhan (Sekaihan)

 

 

Oh God, here we go. Now exploring the iest ing OT3 in the history of OT3s, SeKaiHan. 

Basically any permutation of this ship is so ing y/hot/adorable/flawless beyond words and I have long given up trying to pair just two of them. I always end up feeling bad for the other (though Lulu's being kept company by Yixing in China) so if EXO reunites, I always put these three together.

To be perfectly honest, I have a slight bias towards Sehun and Kai mainly because not only are they EXO-K's dancer line, they were also schoolmates and (I think) childhood friends. From the looks of it, they're closest to each other in EXO-K, seeing as they both can't keep their hands from each other on and off cam and they make one hell of a y pairing. Since they're very close in age, they understand each other's needs and wants and they both can relate to each other since they have very similar circumstances. I can't tell who's more mature between the two of them so I imagine them sometimes asking each for help on something and the other doesn't know so they have to figure something out together. Basically, they grow up together and at the same time.

But these two paired with a more mature and experienced (but still childish at times) Lu Han have awesome dynamic. Sometimes I see them fighting over Lu Han or maybe Lu Han teaching them and guiding them through something or maybe even Lu Han mollycoddling them while they act childish and petulant to gain the older member's attention.

And God, I can just imagine the y times between these three if ever they do get together (and I sincerely hope they will).

Woohyun/Sunggyu (Woogyu)

Jesus Christ, here we go. 

Ugh, there are no words on how much I adore/love/ing hate this ship. Not only are these two my top biases in Infinite, they're also definitely awesome in the way they easily seem to go from fighting to hugging each other like school kids most of the time. They get into a lot of childish alpha-male arguments and fights but when it all comes down to it, Sunggyu cares a lot about Woohyun and Woohyun would always support Infinite's dedicated leader.

Their dynamic is just awesome, especially since they have a history of hating each other back in their trainee days. But now they can't live without each other and they trust each other implicitly, even more than all the other members. Plus, they're also the main vocal line so I can only imagine how close they must be after all those extra late-night practices in the vocal room. *wink wink*

This is my first ship in Infinite and still one of my main ships to date.

Myungsoo/Sungjong (Myungjong)

 

Oh God, the feels are already overwhelming and I haven't even started ranting about this mothering adorable ship.

Basically, yes, this is the couple is the result of God putting two extremely beautiful and adorable human beings together to form one extremely beautiful and adorable pairing. They also comprise the maknae line of Infinite, the two most bossed-around members of their group and also the most attractive members. They obviously care a lot about each other, especially Myungsoo who can't seem to take his hands off Jongie every time they're in the same general vicinity as each other. 

I just love how affectionate they are around each other. I love that they both have the same quiet, brooding personalities but in many ways, they're also different. Sungjong is highly mature for his age with occasional bouts of childishness (e.g. when he throws tantrums over his hyungs bullying him again) while Myungsoo is mostly childish with occasional bouts of maturity when the needs arises.

Ugh, they are just so perfect for each other. T_T

Okay, so that's all for now about my OTPs. To be honest I ship OT7 in Infinite, OT12 in EXO, OT6 in B.A.P. and OT6 in U-Kiss so I approve of all and every ship there is in these groups. But these five are my bias ships, the OTPs I will go down fighting and shipping with my entire heart.
