Personal Message

While a vetern lover of K-Pop, I have never, ever, ever written a fanfic before. On anything...ever. So, this is my little sounding board; my K-Pop Shipping Kindergaten, if you will, so I heartily encourage any and all discourse, comments, and critiques of my work. If you hate it, I'd love to know! If you love it, I'd really love to know! And if you spot a grammatical error or typo, then I simply must know! (Pretty-please-with-Splenda-on-top!?!?!? *grin*)

And, to my fellow wordsmiths out there, also pounding away at their keyboards, stay positive! Because if I've learnt anything in my decade-plus as a professional writer, journalist, author, and blogger, it's that in reality, we are almost always our own worst and harshest critics. So, before you overthink your plotlines, re-write dialogue for the hundredth time, or agonize over a particular scene, just take a chance! Send it out into the Ether, and let your readers be the judges...because 99% of the time, they just want a good, enjoyable, fun escape...and you're the ones who can give it to them!

Don't keep your fans waiting, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Pen! ;)

XOXOXO,

About Me

High Heels and Killer Wheels -- that's what I'm all about!

Hello, I'm A.J., and I write. Well, there's a little bit more t me and my days than that, but it's a start. :)

For one, in case you're wondering why I chose the name RollerBabe, it isn't because I can rollerskate; it's because I've been in a wheelchair more than half my life, and have been disabled since birth, really. Furthermore, I'm also a professional model, and one of my supporters in an international online modelling competition named himself Captain of Team Roller Babe, and it stuck! With such awesome support, they helped me make history as the highest and farthest any woman in a wheelchair has ever gone in a Playboy competition (Top 10 in the World!), and show others that abilities are really what you decide they are, and no wheelchair, crutches, canes, or loss of sight, hearing, or anything else can hold you back if you don't allow it.

You are the ONLY one who can 'disable' yourself.

So, now you know I also model, as well as write, so what else? Hmmm...well, I'm an autodidactic polyglot -- which is a fancy way of saying that I can teach myself heaps and heaps of languages. And I do. Thus far, I'm fluent in English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Latin, and conversational in a myriad of others. As of right now, I'm teaching myself Korean, and having a ball doing so! I wish I'd started earlier, in fact! It's even easier than Hebrew, in my opinion, and much prettier and more interesting than Tagalog (two other languages I studied).

So, as I love the Korean language, it naturally follows that I adore K-Pop! So much so that I travelled from the U.S./Canadian Border all the way to Newark, NJ to attend both BigBang shows at the Prudential Centre. I've loved K-Pop for quite awhile, and admittedly, BigBang was my first love...and is still my favourite, though I certainly enjoy many, many other artists and groups, as well.

And, after sniffing around on this site for a bit, I decided to take a break from all that 'real' writing I do, and try my hand at FanFic. My efforts might prove to be downright awful, but in any case, at least I'm making the effort, and it should prove to be a nice mental vacation from all that pesky 'Work' stuff...

Well, there's lots more to me, I suppose, but this is just a quick glimpse and a fast bio to let you know who it writing all those god-awful stories on here! I hope you enjoy my work, and if you don't, please, feel free to let me know! I love a good, solid critique, because without those, none of us know how to grow and flourish in our arts! So, bring on the comments, please!

And, as I always stay..."Stay fabulous!"

XOXOXO,

~* A.J. *~
