tyler can come off as a very stand offish person, however he dose not mean to be this way. He had learned over time that he can not always be so trusting of others.so at first meet he may act a bit cold, but once you get to know him that persona fades away and is replaced with his true nature. 

 

He has a few rules that must always be followed if they are broken it is hard for him to trust you anymore. 

 

1 - Always be honest with him, never lie to him even if you think it may hurt his feelings. He would rather you be honest and blunt the lie to his face and him find out about it later on. 

 

2 - Communication is important to him, instead of getting mad or upset over something just talk to him about it, he may not look it but he is very understanding and a great listener. 

 

3 - Trust is also important, if you break or lose his trust it is almost impossible to gain it back once more. 

 

 

These are the rules set in place to protect himself as he has not always had it good when it comes to befriending other people due to his real nature. If you are one of the lucky ones who get to see that side of him you will understand why he has set these rules.
