About Me

Strengths:

Lithe as a cat, Jiyong has the advantage of being much more flexible than most males of his age are. Flips, rolls and acrobatic feats of such are no problem for him along with being able to sneak around relatively unnoticed if he wants to. With his thin frame, he can wiggle into places where it may seem almost impossible for a human to get into. In a tight situation, Jiyong would never be the main focus of attention if he can help it with his agile footwork that does the work of distractions which has led many to comment on how it seems as if he is “dancing”. His moves and attacks are sharp and precise, always using the element of surprise as much as possible to quickly dispatch of his foes. His sharp mind is not something to be reckoned with as he can weasel his way out of any verbal confrontation, and his cunning resourcefulness allows Jiyong to quickly pick up on any details that others might have looked over. He has almost perfect photographic memory which allows him to instantly remember anything the first time he sees it along with being somewhat knowledgable on automobiles and machines.

Weaknesses:

Jiyong, to put it very simple, is pathetically very weak physically. He can hardly handle any load that a normal male his age would be able to heft easily. While he is extremely flexible, he is simply not built for endurance or any cardio work. Flitting back and forth, jumping up and down all the time tires him out extremely quickly, and reducing the male to a complete mess of a standstill in a drawn-out fight. He also tends to let his emotions decide for him in a decision and can usually be very rash and irrational when angered or irritated. Even though he would never want to admit it, Jiyong is a coward when it comes to fighting others and would rather prefer to run away immediately if given the choice. Being a OCD-addled person also does not help him at all with dealing with other people, often resulting in Jiyong over criticizing them for the slightest faults until everything in perfect in his opinion.

Weapon of Choice:

Jiyong’s weapons of choice are the throwing knives. Not just one, but always having multiple knives tucked here and there along his body in inconspicuous places in order to prepare himself for any situation. For a sneaky and stealthy individual like him, he would need small and lightweight weapons that could be easily hidden and more importantly, double as both a survival tool and a close combat/ranged weapon. He has a deadly clean and precise accuracy with them and will never hesitate to threaten his enemies with a flick of his wrist. He can also use any other sorts of small bladed weapons with both close combat and ranged attacks quite effectively too.

Personality:

Jiyong can be as loud as he wants and quiet as he desires, depending on his mood. Because of this, he is often seen as bi-polar but it is simply the by product of his concentration at that moment which he can have excessive amounts of or simply none at all. When he really puts his head into a job or work, there is no way anyone can convince him to stop or withdraw before the work is done. Even though he may come off as a bit arrogant and snobbish at first with his reputation of being a self-professed genius, the true Jiyong is a sweet innocent boy longing for simple friendship. Once one has gotten past his tough and bitterly cynical exterior that he keeps up around him for protection against most, his interior is shy and very awkwardly cute to be exposed to. Girls to him are something that he wishes he could have the guts to approach, but does not know how to. While he can be slow to warm to people and usually only accept them nothing more than just at face value, if one could be his friend, his loyalty will be forever sealed. He would risk EVERYTHING and literally EVERYTHING for someone who has earned his love, sticking with them through thick and thin. Nothing less of a flat-out betrayal in his face will deter this male from giving everything he has to offer to his loved ones, which are quite few. To most people however, Jiyong could care less for them and will always prioritize his own life over others in most situations. He never gives any more thought than he has to others, so it is sometimes difficult for him to keep a positive reputation especially when he loses his temper. What he absolutely HATES the most is if anyone were to call him "feminine" or womanly in any way, which would not end pretty for the insulter. He oftens lets his emotions rule over his judgements and will do most things on impulse without regards to any consequences at all. In retrospective, he is an extreme hypocrite when it comes to other people and expect perfection out of them at all times, never stopping until it fits his ideals.

"Too fast to live, too young to die."

Background:

Born and raised in District 6, Jiyong was exposed to the transportation system early in his life when he was only a toddler, barely able to even crawl about. Even then, he had a like for crawling into the most hidden of places and would often worry his parents out of their minds every time he would do so. His older sister was already working with them at that time, and as Jiyong also grew older, he was expected to do the same. However, comparing him to the other boys, it was clear that Jiyong was less capable of doing the manual labor and heavy work that males were expected to do. He was teased and ridiculed by the other children for his feminine looks and his innocent love of wearing his sister's old clothes, which were frankly the only clothes that could fit him. Bitter and almost friendless except for his sister who had more of pity than friendliness to her younger brother, Jiyong would often spend his time away from others and curled up in the various tubings and whatnot scattered around the District. It was only after an incident where he disappeared for a few days from his family to hide away did they figure out a suitable job for him. Because of his petite and flexible frame, they set Jiyong at the task of being the "monkey" that had the responsibility to get into the small places under or above the system to either oversee the work below or grab whatever fell down there. Jiyong despised all of this, every single moment of what he called the "hellhole", which was not far from the truth considering how many times he always had to stay in those damp dripping cramped places just to help out. It did not help either that the other teens his age then did not relent with their mockery of him either as he grew up. So instead of socializing with people, Jiyong honed his weaponry skills instead with the throwing knives in his free time. Finally as he mastered the weapons, it only took one public demonstration of threatening them for all the teasing to completely stop and land him with the highly respected nickname of the "G-Dragon". From then on, he would allow NO ONE, not even his family to call him Jiyong anymore. He was now a Dragon and should be respected as one. He could now be in peace, but even as he had eradicated one source of his discomfort, it did not help to ease his boredom in the District. He wanted more, fun, adventures, glory, but his family completely disagreed with him. More and more, he started to get into fights with his sister and parents leading to after one particular fight which resulted in him actually throwing one of the kitchen knives at his mother (luckily he was not aiming to kill and so it only buried itself in the wall next to her), Jiyong left his the house with some choice swear words never to return. Since that violent action was one of impulse, he really did not know what to do now or where to go at all as he stood outside completely lost as to what to do. Luckily for him, the reaping for the Hunger Games was commencing the next day and thinking that no one cared or gave a damn for him anymore, Jiyong volunteered for it without any regrets or thoughts as to whatever would happen. Of course, no one revolunteered for him.

May the odds be ever in your favor... Not.
