I told my mom that I wrote stories online and said I have subscribers. I did not expect her to tell everyone. THIS was my biggest mistake. I don't write s or anything but it would be hella embarrassing and plus there is a lot of swearing in my fiction!!!
My fics are basically innapropriate jokes. Lol I can't write anything normal.

My sisters read fanfics too and support me writing fanfics. We always tell eachother when we've found a good fanfic. :) the rest of my family probably knows I read them because we talk about stories we've read out loud. Sometimes the story lines are so good they ask us "What movie is that? I want to see it." And we just laugh and say we read it somewhere...lol Also we read yaio fanfics so we usually change the gendre of one of the members. But we still use their real names. So if our parents pay attention to who we obsess over in kpop bands they may have realized we were talking about two boys! LOL but it's no big deal to me.

I say it loud and proud! Anyone that knows me, knows I love fanfiction!

My parents know I'm writing... But they don't know exactly what (and it's better that way xD Not sure I want them to know lol)
My close friends know and some of them became my friends after being my readers xD Or they became new readers xD Other people: if they ask, I'll tell.

interesting poll, i would figure more people would be more hush hush about writing/reading fan fics.
