"first times was awkward...
but it always stays in memories...."
"Unni, I dont think I could do this. Let's just go home..", I said at Eunjung unni as we walked down the busy street of Marak Market.
"JiYeon, jebal....", Eunjung unni said pleadingly as she held onto my hand. I was trapped, I knew it was a bad idea to continue but how could I refuse Eunjung unni. She wrapped her arms to mine, I had no way out.
With all of my spider senses going into full gear danger mode premonition, I smiled awkwardly and walked with her. And against my better judgement, I awkwardly said, "Arrasso, but unni you owe me for this..."
My Unni smiled and hugged me tight, "Komawo Jiyeon-ah... Komawo... you are the best dongsaeng in the world.."
"But unni, can you please let go, now, I can't breathe.." I whispered in her ear as she hugged me.
"Oh sorry, Jiyeon.... Just got carried away... but really thanks you" and she let go of me and patted my head like she used to when we were kids and we continued to walk.
'How could I refuse Eunjung unni; she was my older cousin and she hardly asks any favors...hmmnnnn..', then I sighed dejectedly
'I'll just have to endure through out this blind date...', I thought
We arrived in the cafe and was ushered by the waiter to our dates, their back was turned at us,
"Sir, your dates are here.." and the waiter left
I was left to dread the meeting. To see the 2 men that was our date, from their backs I could see that they were tall and quite broad shouldered. I held my breath in anxiousness.
They turned around and i was shocked to see that they were both pretty boys, their skin was fair, their nose was perfect amd their eyes were clear. 'they are really pretty handsome' and I was tongue tied.
They both bowed and so did we, "annyoehasesahyeo...." they greeted us and we also greeted them with the like response. And it was the start of the date.
We sat opposite them and I understood why unni so wanted to meet these guys.
"Let's do introduction first" said the guy who spoke before.
"Okay I'll start first, I'm Kim HYun Joong 18 years old..." he smiled at me then at unni
'ahhh, he is the one unni so wants to date so i am here now...'
Unni sat up straight smiled so wildly & said, "I am Ham Eunjung, I'm 17 years old..."
She pointed to me & said, said, "This is my cousin Park Jiyeon, she's 16 years old.." and I nodded at both men
The guy in front at me smiled so wildly then gave me a wink, 'ahh he seems so lively & happy...'
I got tongue tied -- my throat felt dry & I felt my hand sweat. I was too anxious. his strange and flirty gestures, creeped me out, 'It's our first meeting & he already winked at me, he is such a player..'
'adorable but still a player...'
As I sat opposite him, I wanted to go home more than anything. At home I could do all I want, such as write about stories about my favorite band DBSK, the Gods of the East
I looked at unni, and with my eyes I told her, 'Unni let's finish this fast & go home..'
"Okay we should order now." kim hyun joong said, taking over the leadership role
I looked at the menu, then by chance i glance at hyungJun and he was looking at me like he was trying to say something then when our eyes met, he winked again.
Goosebumps all over my body spread, 'he really is creeping me out...'
"So sirs and Ma'am what to do want to eat...?" asked the waiter
"Girls first..." kim hyun joong offered
but as Unni was just saying, "I want..."
The sirens went off from outside, it felt like my ears were going to explode.
I could see all the people in the room stand up and looked around in a panic. The door opened and one of the
waiters came in & shouted, "there's fire 2 building's away....!!!!!!"
Everyone started running and the people went to the door to get out..
I stood frozen, i didnt know what to do. then i felt hand grabbed me and pull me into a ran,
I screamed in surprise "omo..."
when i looked infront of me it was hyungjun,,,
"c'mon lets go", but then i remembered unni, i called for hwe"unni." i screamed & looked back but she wasnt there or enywhere else my eyes roamed.
i tripped face down to the ground because of all the commotion.
i screamed again feeling the sharpest pain ever, "aiggoooo..."
he stopped running and looked at me, here we were in the middle of the street sitting like kids when all around us people were running for their lives & trying to save their properties
he looked all over me and said "your knee is bleeding.."
seeing the bleeding I could only hysterialy said, "omo, omo, omo...."
he calmed me down saying, "dont worry about that." he took his handkechief and wrap it around my knee to stop the bleeding, with all the chaos his tenderness seemed to rise everthing else
"i'll carry you home..."
i shoke my head and timidly say, "sshiro,, anni anni.."
then he said looked at me, then suddenly his forehead frowed and his nose wrinkled, "do you smell something..?"
with all the noise, burning smell, i could smell something foul like a dof dung, then that was when i feld something in my thigh.
it was wet and icky...
' dont tell me, i sat on a dog's poop...'
'omo... omo... omo... can this day get any worse...'
he looked at me & he seemed to have gotten his answer wih my horrified expression.
"dont worry about it, things happen..." he said
a fireman came near us & said, "kids you have to get out of here the fire is getting bigger..."
Hyung Jun nodded, "yes officer.."
he turned his back to me and motioned for me that he was going to carry me on his back..
'no i couldn't possible ride on his back with dung in my thigh...'
'NO...!!!!'
"i cant walk.." i said,
but he pulled my hands to wrap around his neck and pull me up his back then he stood up carrying me in his back
"you say the weirdest thing...dont worry its just poop, once i get home i can take a bath and it will all be gone" he said
' this is awkward....'
all through out our walk, he kept talking nonstop about anything & everything, i answered my routine yes so that he would feel like i was answering but i kept thinking, 'unni, i will never ever come to blind dates again...'
when we got home i awkwardly said, "thank you.."
he smiled and took my hand to his and said, "thank me with a kiss.."
i was flabbergasted, ' he is a PLAYER...'
I just looked at him with wide eyes and opening nostrils how could he ask me that when we only knew each other for an hour...
then looking at my expression he laughed so hard...
"bye Jiyeonnie, so you next time..."
as he left i keep thinking, '...well we will not meet again, not if i can help it...'
'thank God i will never see him again... well that would be the end of this debacle..'
