Chapter 45: oh wow! the last time I actually read this was when Kai died! I had to reread everything to refresh my mind so I could continue! Kai nonchalantly asking her out on a date was so cute!!! I kept squealing! I have a little theory in my head but I’m not sure how to express it right into words and it’s all jumbled up in my head anyway but it makes the wheels in my head spin at how the Darkling might be like Kai’s incarnation (?? jumbled thoughts ??) and he might have been in love with Life and had to kill her for some reason and since in this life Life is Little Miss Gold Aura and she and Kai ‘fell in love’/are dating— idk if the spoiler thing worked haha
