In a county like Jiang Nan in the late 1850s, there is undoubtedly some local forces wiping the streets.  Meet the infamous Ten Clans (十门) of Jiang Nan. It is considered a formation of the oldest 10 clans who lived in Jiang Nan - in other words, old money rich. They have ancestral history in the county and long ties of connections with pe
