This is the first year since the sixth grade that Daehwi hasn't given Woojin a box of homemade brownies on Valentine's day. Daehwi broke a six year tradition and Woojin refuses to be upset about it.

Daehwi has been in denial about his hearing loss ever since being released from the hospital. He's vehemently against his older brother placing him in a high school for the hearing impaired, but he's not the one making the decision. He's even more against making any friends because he refuses to accept that he may one day be completely deaf and there's nothing he can do about it.
