personality » Lee Sooyun is a caring person. She will always care about someone and make sure they’re okay. She will do anything for the people that she cares for. She is a cheerful person. She is never in a bad mood and rarely gets upset. Sooyun tries to cheer everyone up. It baffles the members when she’s up at 6 in the morning and is automatically happy. She’s like the energizer bunny according to some members. Sooyun is kind of a witty person. It comes with being cheerful. Although her jokes are lame sometimes, she still manages to make people laugh. You can count on sooyun for anything. She is reliable and can be trusted with something. When people tell her secrets she won’t tell a soul.

There are some bad things about sooyun. She is clumsy; don’t trust her to hold anything valuable unless you want it to break. Instead of two left feet, she has two left hands. She has a tendency to throw her hands up when she’s excited and accidentally hit someone in the head or any body part that's available. You’re in for a ride if you really know Sooyun. BACKGROUND » Lee Sooyun was born on May 10, 2000, in Busan, South Korea. She was raised into a strict family since her father was a lawyer, her mother was a secretary, and her brother on his way to being a doctor. They all had normal professions and Sooyun’s dad wanted her to follow in his footsteps. But, Sooyun had other plans. She was considered the odd one since she always changed her dreams. One day she wanted to be a firefighter and the next day she wanted to be a talk show host. then sooyun wanted to become a magician and do tricks that would amaze people. soon, Sooyun's dream changed once again from wanting to be a magician to a singer. Sooyun wanted to sing and be on stage. She loved to sing along to songs on the radio when she and her family use to travel to Seoul.

Around the age of 7, her parents signed her up for singing lessons thinking it was a phase and it would pass. As she got more into it, her passion for singing grew as well. As she got older, she sang in a couple of talents shows and won a few prizes. Around the age of 15, she got into kpop from watching a few music videos with her brother at the time. She fell in love with girls generation and the wondergirls.

One of Sooyun’s friends told her about an audition that sm was holding and encouraged Sooyun to go. Sooyun went and auditioned. During her audition, Sooyun thought she was going to mess up but sung the song without mistakes. The agency liked her and a few weeks later she was accepted. When she finally told her parents about it, her father was not happy. He wanted her to have a stable career, one that would benefit her. He didn’t really care for the idol life because he thought it gave her no future. Sooyun ignored her father’s protest and joined sm ent. anyway, with her mother’s permission. Since she got excepted, Sooyun doesn’t have a great relationship with her father. He still thinks Sooyun is wasting her time.

trainee LIFE » When Sooyun was a trainee it was kind of tough for her. Since she had been singing for a while, she was good at it and always knew which notes to hit. Although when it came to dancing, that's a different story, Sooyun is clumsy and always forgot the dance numbers. So to improve, Sooyun stayed behind extra hours so she could practice. She's not the greatest at dancing but she is better than she was. Times did get tough for her and there were times when some other trainees did bully her. They thought she wasn't tough enough to stick it out. Plus, she lost some weight due to the strict diet. So stress was totally making Sooyun feel really bad. During that time, she did think about leaving sm ent. but with the support from her brother and friends, Sooyun pushed through and stayed.

personality » At first glance, Dasom looks unapproachable at first. She looks cold and acts cold. But that isn't the case, Dasom is very relaxed and calm. She likes to stay away from drama. First time meeting » They actually met through mutual friends who were having a party. They were both introduced and kind of at first didn't hit off. Dasom thought Sooyun was a little too cheerful and Sooyun thought Dasom was too quiet. While there, Sooyun felt uncomfortable with the silence and kept trying to crack witty jokes which were lame in Dasom's opinion. Nonetheless, she did enjoy Sooyun's attempt to lighten the mood. They met again when Sooyun bumped into Dasom at a food restaurant when Sooyun was with her best friend, Lee Byul. Sooyun apologized after she knocked Dasom's drink on the floor. Sooyun assured her she would buy her another one and she did. While Sooyun knocked over Dasom's drink, she forgot her glasses on the floor and Dasom wasn't too happy about returning them to her so she put them in her bag. After two days, Dasom saw Sooyun and gave her back her glasses. After that, they had more encounters and soon Dasom knew Sooyun by the color of her hair and by her dorky glasses.
