Personality. 

Mikyung likes to talk to others and make new friends. She isn't one to shy away from trying new things or speaking to new people. Who knows that there might be new things she likes.

On the contrary, she is also avoidant when it comes to conflict. When she notices tension or a problem occuring, she typically tries to stay out of it as she doesn't want to cause a bigger problem.

Like previously mentioned, Mikyung can pick things up. She notices those personality changes someone might have when they are having a bad or good day. She knows when it's time to back off or talk.

Mikyung is also one to blame herself when bad things happen. She wonders is it her fault that is happened? Was she not good enough? Is there something wrong with her? One could say the possible "trigger" for this trait was when her parents split. Even though she was young, she couldn't help but get these thoughts.

She is also one to be a bit too alturistic at times. Yes she is selfless but her selflessness can be much. This can cause her to sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of others.

Mikyung is a patient person. She understands that not everyone works at the same speed and some might need some extra time. You could say she's also tolerant and doesn't judge people upon the first look.

She isn't one to betray her friends. You can trust her with pretty much anything and can count on her. She is willing to stick by you during tough times and give you comfort.

Though if you betray her trust and kindness, she won't forgive. Or at least it won't be easy. She wouldn't go out to make your life miserable but she doesn't believe someone's kindness is a reason to take advatange of them.

Background.

To understand her story, we have to go back in time a few years before she was born. Her mother, Boyoung, met her father when they were in high school at 17 and 18 years old. They were high school sweethearts. Though the bliss didn't last long when Boyoung hit 19 and found out she was pregnant. When their parents found out, the made Boyoung and her boyfriend get married. They ended up getting married at 19 for Boyoung and 20 for her boyfriend.

They had their first daughter at age 20 and 21. It wasn't easy for this young pair and it did cause some arguements. Just when they thought that they had things figured out, they found out that Boyoung was pregnant again but with twins. Even though they were high school sweethearts and loved each other, they were compatible for raising kids. 3 years after the twins were born, Boyoung divorced her highschool sweetheart. Both of them decided it was for the best and they seemed to argue a lot more.

Growing up, Mikyung seemed to be affected the most by her father leaving. Even though she was little, she wondered why daddy doesn't love her and wants to leave them. She would often get sad when she'd see families with two parents being happy and wished that her family could be like that. It wasn't easy for Mikyung to accept this. It did take her a few years before she got used to the idea. She eventually realized that she didn't need a father to have a happy family. As long as she's got people that love her and care about her, that's all that's important.

Mikyung wasn't one of those people that grew up loving music and taking lessons in order to audition. She didn't have intentions of becoming an idol. She originally wanted to be a  kindergarten teacher. Though in school, she had to take at least one creative class meaning an art or music one. Mikyung decided to take a singing class. While taking the class, she actually enjoyed it more than she thought.

Mikyung was scouted at her a showcase her singing class put on. The recruiter thought that she wasn't the best but had potential. Mikyung was approached by them and got handed a card with a number and address. She was told to come and audition. Mikyung didn't think much of it. She thought that it was a scam until her sister said that she was also part of the company. Mikyung honestly failed the first time she auditioned but she didn't stop and with her second time she got in.

The reason why Mikyung decided to audition a second time despite not originally wanting to be an idol is because she failed. It was in the sense of you don't think I can do this, I'll prove you wrong. Ironically failing gave her motivation to try again.

+ Friend / Yang Jeongin (I.N) / 19 / idol - Stray Kids / cheerful, kind-hearted, sensitive / Jeongin is the epitome of a baby boy in her eyes. There's just something about him that makes her want to protect him. It could be due to the few times that she heard him sing baby shark. Even though he claims he's an adult now and not a baby, it doesn't stop Mikyung or s from babying him.

Trainee Life.
Mikyung did have much intentions of becoming a trainee. She isn't one of those people that dedicated their childhood to singing or dancing. It wasn't until recently that she wanted to pursue a musical career. Even though she only had 8 months training, Box was Mikyung's first company. She was part of the first wave of original trainees that joined without being part of another company. It wasn't easy as she was trying her best to balance school life and trainee life. She does understand that it's not a guarantee that she'll debut just because she got accepted so she wanted to have a backup plan.
