jihye is a mix of korean and malaysian chinese. her mom is korean, and her dad is malaysian chinese. her dad owns bonia, the biggest fashion brand in malaysia, which explains why she go to a private school since she was little. when she was eight, she moved to boston for five years, and then came back to malaysia when she was thirteen.
at first, jihye didn't think much about singing. she wanted to be like her parents, running her own fashion business. her dad owned bonia, and her mom was a successful fashion designer. but everything changed when her friend showed her a video of txt performing in 2019. jihye got curious about k-pop and started doing dance covers. that's when she began to like singing and performing too.
