Tazzy's May and June (and July) Playlist
It's been such a long time since the first page of this blog. Because I haven't done one since April, this will cover the months I've missed and I'll try to update this month (July) as soon as it's ending. I have so many song recommendations for you. I'm also not just recommeding songs alone, but albums and ep's. Once again, it's not only limited to k-pop. My music taste is a variety of genres.
Here is Tazzy's Playlist of May and June :)
1. The Lead (EP) by Flo
Just in April, they released their debut single, Cardboard Box, which was apart of my first list. Now they've released their debut EP and it is HEAVEN SENT. The feeling of 2000s RnB is being brought back by these three beautiful black women. This group consists of (in order of the photo from left to right) Jorja, Stella and Renee. These talented girls have mastered their craft already. I'm excited for what the future holds for them and want to hear how their sound evolves.
This EP consists of 5 songs. Cardboard Box, Immature, Summertime, Feature Me, and Another Guy (Acoustic). My favorite track at the moment is Feature Me.

Immature is their new single and I will link the music video below !!

2. IM NAYEON (Mini Album) by NAYEON (Twice)
When it was announced she was debuting, I was a bit surprised but realizing she is one of the most prominent voices in Twice's songs it made sense right away. The snippet of the title wasn't well received but she debuted and showed she had IT !!
The tracklist to this Mini Album is:
1. POP!
2. NO PROBLEM (feat. Felix)
3. LOVE COUNTDOWN (feat. Wonstein)
4. CANDYFLOSS
5. ALL OR NOTHING
6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
7. SUNSET
POP! is the perfect debut for an artist like Nayeon. It's a bottle of sunshine wrapped up in a song. It's truly a beautiful debut and we'll look back on it in 5 years and say wow this is history. The music video is so beautiful and just genius and it caters to Nayeon's persona. My favorite B-side currently is No Problem and also Candyfloss actually.

3. Up! by Kep1er
Now I know the naysayers will say "Kep1er?" but HEAR ME OUT !! I was not a Kep1 enthusiast. I was not pleased they were apart of the Queendom lineup (still am not, a waste of time, they could've had this amazing comeback even sooner had they not competed). I was not excited for this comeback until the teaser for the mv dropped (with the entire chorus in it mind you) and I knew it was a hit INSTANTLY.
I've listened to DOUBLAST (their mini album), it's not the best in my opinion but this title track is like rainbows and sunshine wrapped up into a song. It's song of the summer when it comes to groups. Nayeon's was song of the summer for soloists. THIS IS KPOP. I think Kep1er is only gonna get better once they find their sound and stick to it. It's a temporary contract of 2 and a half years but IZONE did so much with theirs and found their perfect sound and stuck to it and I feel Kep1er will do the same.
If you wanna experience a sugar rush in a song, I recommend listening to Up!

4. Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Major (EP) by JO YURI
L O V E SHHH! Listen...from beginning to end this EP is a gift from the heavens. I could do a detailed track by track appreciation post if I wanted to. The tracklist is Round and Around, Love Shhh!, Rolla Skates, This Time and Opening.
My favorite B-side is Rolla Skates. It's a fun song and Yuri's airy voice is the cherry on top I feel. I also love this title track more than Glassy. For a new artist, I think Yuri has found her sound already and it's something she should stick to it. It's very pop-esque. Something I need most soloists to get back to. She's definitely my favorite post-IZONE soloist.

5. We Not Humping (Remix) by MONALEO and Flo Milli
Praying I have some black k-pop stans on here. This one is specifically for those who listens to rap. Monaleo is a new up and coming rapper and she has IT. The original song is just as good but Flo Milli gives it that extra flavor I feel. Definitely a smash hit on my phone !!

6. DEEP (Mini Album) by HYO
Oh, you couldn't possibly think I'd make it through this without giving tens where tens are due !! DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP WHIP WHIP WHIP WHIP WHIP !!
One thing about Hyoyeon, she's gonna make a hit song no matter the occasion. This album is of course filled with a bunch of previously released songs with only 2 being brand new. Stupid is an amazing b-side. WHERE MY STUPID CUTE ES AT ??
GIVE IT A STREAM OR TWO !! IDC IF YOU'VE HEARD ALL THE SONGS BEFORE GIVE HYOYEON STREAMS BEFORE THE SNSD COMEBACK SHE DESERVES EVERYTHING AND MORE !!!

7. Surprise (Single) by Chloe
Baby...just give it a listen.

8. Spring, Summer (Single) by Lebra Jolie
To all the Real Housewives of Atlanta fans, we love a reference !! Sheree's famous "More September...that is Spring Summer. September Spring Summer." was paid homage in this rap song. It's just...amazing I feel. And it's fun. I love black culture references in anything.
Spotify, Apple Music and MV.
9. As It Was (Single) by Harry Styles
Now I know everyone will roll their eyes BUT it's not just a tiktok trend I fear. It's a beautiful song. It's...everything to me actually. Well, almost everything. I'm honestly in love with this song and I think you all need to be too. I don't know, that's just how I feel. Listen to it, friends.
Spotify, Apple Music and MV.
10. CopyCat (Single Album) by Apink CHOBOM
NOW THIS is how you debut a subunit. When 11 year old group Apink said they were debuting a subunit, I thought to myself...why??? It's extremely uncommon to debut subunits when you're so established these days at least. The teasers were not impressive to me either but when the teaser for the mv dropped oh my goodness, I was inlove.
Then the song dropped OH MY GOSH...guys. ANNYEONG COPY COPY CAT EVERYBODY GET UP !! Apink KNOWS how to do k-pop and they do it WELL. Please listen to this single album it contains three tracks the title, Copycat, and two b-sides, Oscar and Feel Something.
Spotify, Apple Music and MV.
AND we've come to the end of my Playlist of May and June. I think I included some July honestly haha. That's okay though. I'll come back again in August.
