face claim & backup

Irene
Taeyeon

APPEARANCE
She stands at 168 cm and weighs 50 kg. Her hair is up to her shoulderbones and it's like in the gif. She has both her ears pierced and usually has a blank face on most of the time.

style

Her style is completely different when she's at home and when she's out. At home, she couldn't care less what she looks like, usually she has on an oversized sweater or top paired with sweat pants or shorts. However, when she's out in public, she will wear very elegant and womanly clothes, whites and neutral colours, anything that is gentle and light. Clothes must be easy for her to move in so it'll be ok if she is to suddenly decide to go to the stuido for an impromptu dance rehersal. When it comes to formal get togethers, she will always be on point with a formal dress and heels and a hot hair style, enough to make the boys drool, not like she'd let them do anything more than staring.  x x x x

                                                              PERSONALITY
Yeseul was raised as the only daughter of a rich household, so obviously she would be everything a woman should be. She was raised - or should I say brainwashed? - to not be loud or reckless, hold in her emotions and smile like everything is rainbows and unicorns in the presence of others as well as carry herself with grace. Her parents have dictated every single bit of her life for her. She could do nothing but go along with everything they said because it'd been wired into her brain that she had to listen to everything they - and any one else holding a position of high authority - told her to. Because of this she has become someone who is easily controlled and easily manipulated. She walks around with a blank expression on her face, for her everyday is the same and nothing changes and she has no interest in aything.  People often tells her she lacks soul. Her first impression is cold and she doesn't really talk to people she doesn't know but if you approach her first and lead her, she will open up to you. If you do manage to befriend her, then she will love you and shower you with affection and aegyo thoughtfulness and loyalty, as a way of saying 'thanks for sticking with me even though I'm crazy.' Her friends mean alot to her and she would lay down her life for them.

She likes order and balance, every single thing is planned down to the last minute and she will probably have a mental breakdown if anything is wrong with that plan and will cry for ages. She likes plans, she likes stability, she likes being told what she can and can't do, that way she won't stray outside the bounderies and won't get in trouble or disppoint anyone. It keeps her grounded when her life feels like it's spinning out of control. But like every other young girl out there who's never left the warmth of her home nest, she wonders whether there is more to life than what has been dictated for her, she wonders and sometimes she wishes shecould find her own true self because right now she is feeling completely empty and hollow inside. She is quite open minded to a lot of things and thinks about a million different adventures she could go on inside her head, but these are plans that she's never taken action on.

Since childhood, Yeseul has always been protected and watched over so that she never gets hurt, never has to do any work and never has to deal with anything to do with the outside world. She's always had people by her side to do everything for her, which has lead her to be very dependent, it usually backfires; she can't cook, clean, she can't even open a can of coke. It's gotten to a point where she doesn't even need to ask for help, they'll come to her instead and offer it as soon as she is given a job and who is she to refuse them if they're insisting? Even they know she can't do anything by herself. She always needs someone to hold her hand because it's all she's ever known.

However that all changes when she starts dancing. Dance is her territority, it's the only place where she can take the reins and not be smothered with overbearing servants or have her parents breathing down her neck so you better back the down. When she's dancing, the dead look in her eyes will change for one of concentration and determination and she becomes hardworking and confident. However, she lacks soul in dance and even though she is amazing at dancing, it lacks emotion, it's a comment she gets frequently which upsets her. She's so serious about dancing it's scary but if she keeps messing up she will start this cycle of self loathing and will not stop practicing until she has nailed it, this usually ends up with more than a few tears and bruises, Pressure just makes it worse, she hates being under pressure when she's having a hard time like this and the critising demons in her head will be enough to make her crack. Of course she will show no one because her pride gets in the way. She can ask for help for everything else, just not this.

the outside.

background

Born and raised in the rich town of Gangnam and as the only daughter of a doctor couple who own a chain of hospitals, her parents have controlled her throughout her entire life and moulded her into the perfect girl everyone thinks she is. They made her work hard in school and all that, sometimes even took her to social gatherings to show off how well mannered and overall perfect their daughter is. It is there that she saw how the only thing people cared about was climbing the social ladder, the only reason people asociated themselves with her were to get to her parents and wealth and whatnot so she closed herself off to them with a roll of her eyes, though still forced herself to act civil for her parents. That is the reason why she hates parties and crowded places.

They enrolled her in lessons for piano, singing and dance lessons and she was basically a trophy daughter: obidient and talented. They loved flaunting her around. They'd decided her fate too, she would be a doctor and take over their franchise. To add to the long list of things that made her seemingly perfect, they moved to England when she was 8 - though constantly flew back and forth between there and Korea - and moved back to Korea after she'd graduated to go to the school her mother had graduated from to study medicine. To top it all off, they entered her in the sorority house her mother went to too.

family

▪  Ahn Yura | Mother | Yura is extremely stubborn and does not take no for an answer, not that her daughter ever says that word to her. Though Yura is extremely controlling, she pampers her daughter and dotes on her, showing her off to all her friends and rubbing it in their faces how "perfect she is". Yeseul just smiles and nods like she's told.

▪  Bae Jung Hwan | Father | Jung Hwan is hard working and always at work, he hardly ever sees his daughter and she regards him as a stranger sometimes. They don't really talk but when they do it's usually about school and along the lines of. "why are you still dancing, you should focus on your studies."

friends

Every one of the plotlines are more or less her friend. Since they dote on her she throws affection and aegyo right back at them, but then when a new random person joins the conversatioin she will be on guard again and go back to having a blank face and keep out the conversation.

OTHER
N/a

YOU'RE LIKE MY SISTER.

ROOMMATE

Kang Seul Bi (?) unless you don't want me lol

RELATIONSHIP & INTERACTION

Seul Bi is one of the people who Yeseul has grown close to and therefore she is extremely affectionate aorund her, especially since they are roomates. They are quite similar and in sync with each other, people call them 2Seul and sometimes joke around, calling them Seul A and Seul B. Yeseul always keeps her stuff clean and labelled (even her labels have labels) everything is in it's place and she has to stop herself from sorting out Seul Bi's things as well because that might annoy her. She is cautious and doesn't want to annoy anyone since she is an only child and hasn't really ever shared anything in her life. Seul Bi learns to tolerate Yeseul's obsessive nature just as much as Yeseul learns to tolerate her constant violin playing, sometimes she even plays her piano along to it.

love interest

Park Chanyeol

backup love interest

Kim Jongin

personality TRAITS
Positive: cheerful, optimistic, fun loving
NEGATIVE: careless, blunt, self opinionated

PERSONALITY
He's very bright and fun loving, sweet and gentlemanly but quite careless. Chanyeol is always forgetting or losing things, most of the time his own footing. The giant is always tripping over things - quite likely his own lanky limbs - and bumping into things - e.g people shorter than him "whoa where did you come from?. Lord only knows how many things he's broken or lost because of his carelessness. In those rare cocasions when he looks cool, he'll usually ruin it by tripping over some cable but the bright smile that spreads accross his face as he laughs at himself will make it all better. He's friendly and making friends comes easy to him, he's the type of person who people gravitate to. Chanyeol's really optimistic, so much it's annoying but at the same time, he's a lazy , especially in the mornings when he acts like his soul left his body. He never leaves anything half finished and knows what he has to do to get what he wants and if the time calls for it, he's prepared to be a little manipulative to get it. He's quite straight forward and can say the awkwardest sentences in the wrong times, he says whatever comes into his mind and doesn't worry about making a fool of himself. He has the subtlety of a sledgehammer. Sometimes his blunt, straight forward way of speaking can end up hurting other people's feelings but he doesn't realise it until it's too late. This is another way in how he is careless. One particularly bad trait of Chanyeol's would be the fact that he is sometimes self opinionated and it takes a while for him to understand other people's points of view he is probably this way because he is always focusing on what he wants and how he's going to get what he wants, the thought of someone else not being like him doesn't even come to mind.

FUNFACTS ABOUT LOVE INTEREST?

relatonship

Chanyeol - being the idiot he is - lost his way around campus one night because it was dark. He walked into the dance room by accident, where Yeseul was dancing her heart out in. He was completely captivated by her beautiful movements. He stays there for a while before she sees him in the mirror, when they made eye contact it felt like the cosmos had aligned, but she ignores the feeling and asks what he's doing there. He's completely dumbfounded and lost for words, all that comes out is just gurgling so he just slinks away in embarassment.

So basically after their first meeting, Chanyeol took a liking to her and basically stalked her and pestered his friends to tell him more about her.
"No way man, she's one of [miss perfect reputation's] girls!" He starts moping around for ages before he finds the courage to back to the room and asks her to teach him how to dance.

"Um...I want to learn how to dance..."
"Ok..."
"And I kind of hoped you could teach me?"

She knows he's one of the frat boys but he doesn't seem that bad. Surely not every one of the boys could be monsters? Besides, she can't deny that there's a nagging feeling in her heart that's telling her to get closer to him.

"We could meet in secret," he suggests, "no one has to know."

Their lessons start and he feels sorry for her because he dances like a robot who hasn't been oiled for a millenium and because he cares less about dancing and more about getting into her pants to know her better. He somehow gets out of dancing most of the time and instead makes her dance while he marvels at her elegance.

He is always there when she least expects him but needs him the most. Whenever she has a mental breakdown or is up to her neck in stress, he'll come running to her and cheer her up and she usually splutters incoherently before running away everytime he smiles at her. She laughs at all his cheesy jokes and he listens to her problems once her gets her to open up. He finds she's very affectionate with those close to her and he's determined to be one of those people, and once he sets his hearts on something, he gets it. He treats her well and is always there for her and shows her that it's ok to come out her comfort zone, you don't have to always listen to other people and she agrees because if she'd listened when [miss perfect reputation] told her to keep away from the frat boys then she would never have met such a beautiful person like him.

Sometimes she doesn't feel like she deserves somoene like him in her life. He treats her so well and looks after her (because god knows she can't do that for herself). He usually pulls her away from reality and helps her handle all the stress and takes her to other places like to get bubble tea or to the amusement park and "no this isn't a date if you don't it to be." is always considerate of her feelings. In this way he makes her come out her shell, makes her stray from her neatly planned out schedule and embrace life and truly find herself.

She tries hard not to fall for him because he'll just mess up her life and because [miss perfect reputation] told her not to get involed with the 'enimies'. She tried, she really did. But Chanyeol's smile is just to beautiful.

He really likes her and is always trying to charm her btu she doesn't believe he's being sincere so just brushes it off as a joke. A joke that has her punching and yelling at him because she's really tsundere and emotions don't go well with her. He drops the heaviest hints known to man, literally telling her that he's in love with her but she ignores him like it's nothing, why would someone like him like someone like her? In the end theone to officially 'confess; is her, even though Chanyeol had beat her to it. She does it in the most trivial way possible, while they're drinking bubble tea - because it gives her strength - and she's not even looking at him but he feels so happy. He's like a hurricane to her, coming into her life and shaking everything up, she denied her obvious feelings for him because in her sorted life, Chanyeol doesn't fit in the black or white.

After they get together, though they acted like an old married couple anyway, she relies on him more and he becomes even more open - as if it was even possible - and literally tries to kiss her every second of the say and Yeseul only gets more tsundere despite not hating it one bit. The happiest moment of Chanyeol's life was probably when she kiss him for the first time and not the other way around.
