When people meet Ari Soo for the first time, they never assume she's nerd. And why should they? She's very open and out-going. She easily forms connection with people and isn't shy at all. Ari Soo is also very confident and has many friends. She's rather popular amongst other students regardless of her love for Math and Science, or maybe that's the reason why she's so popular. It's never a problem for her to help others with their homework or help them get prepared for exam, she often gives people credit for her work. You probably think now that she's a little angel... Not at all. She never helps people without reminding them that they OWE her. She collects favors from people and is always eager to mercilessly use one of them. That's probably the reason why she was able to break school rules so many times during her current school career. She mostly breaks those lame rules, like f.e. the fact that you can't use lab without teacher's supervision, or that you shouldn't throw anything out of the window on the third floor... People just take blame for her or say that she was with them when the accident occured.

Ari Soo is really smart. Way too smart for her own good. She hacks other people's computers, she breaks enter passwords or twits teacher's mistakes on a daily basis. She knows exactly how clever she is, that's why Soo became careless... When someone think they're infallible, they're ought to fail sooner or later...

Since the very young age she was always independent and had feministic outlook on the world. She has no problem talking to people and manipulating them (her most common prey is her father) or just convincing them to her own opinion. People say that she could sell snow to the Eskimos.

Unfortunately, she's not only sharp, she's also moody and impulsive. She can change her mood in a second or blow up on people without a warning. She loves bossing people around, especially since, you know, she's always right. Even though she's moody and impulsive she's also extremely stubborn, meaning, if she wants something, knows something for sure or just finds it logical, she becomes tenacious and changing her mind becomes close to impossible. 

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Min Kyung, Ari Soo's father, met her mother when he was 24 and she was only nineteen. They've had a ual and that's how Ari was born. Her parents were never really in a relationship, they've been just a fling. When her mother became pregnant, she was way too young and irresponsible to take care of a child, she was working as a stewardess for Korean Air but she also liked to party a lot. She wanted to get rid of a child but Min Kyung offered to take care of it instead. He didn't know why he did that. He felt way too young to raise a kid but when Ari's mother said that she would get rid of a kid, he couldn't let her do that. He started loving this baby even before it was born.

And when Ari was born he has fallen in love with her. He knows exactly that she's the reason why he can't be in a serious relationship with a woman. That's because Ari Soo is the love of his life. Even though it was very hard in the beginning to finish university and start a job as an architect when he had to take care of the baby, he managed to do it (mostly thanks to his parents, who were very supportive).

As for Soo's mother... Well, after giving birth to her she disappeared. She didn't want to be responsible for her. She only came back when Ari was 13, and they've met. Her mother was very eager to get to know her and start being part of her life, but for Ari Soo, she was only a person who gave birth to her. Maybe because she had a father who was crazy for her and grandparents for whom she was the apple of their eye, but she wasn't eager to let her mother to her life. There was also a resentment, even though she would never admit it, she was still hurt by the fact that her mother abandoned her.

Min Kyung is one of the most demanded architects in South Korea, that's why she was raised in a very good conditions, her family is rather wealthy, so she was always able to get whatever she wanted (especially since she has always been a great manipulator).

She was always doing great in school, usually ranked as number one or two (she didn't care about ranks to be honest, that's why she was never really stressinf too much over it).
