⟪ PERSONALITY ⟫ Self-confident, Honest, Charismatic, Perfectionist, Tactless, Belligerent, Obsessive, Capricious

 + Self-confident: She isn't afraid to show herself, and is a very open book. She's that friend that'd be willing to start a fight for you, and brushes off mean-spirited comments because she knows she's fantastic. Her self-esteem, which is mostly fueled on her own appearance, often makes her seem very conceited (which is technically true because she's very proud of her own appearance), but she can't tell lies and be humble.
+ Honest: She will give something to you straight, no fluff. She hates people shielding her from the truth, so she makes sure that all of her loved ones know what she feels. It's her moral duty (or so she says) to make sure no one is ever left behind in terms of information. Like her motto says, "secrets don't make friends."
+ Charismatic: Many of the people she meets say that she has a characteristic pull towards herself, whether it be the way she carries herself or how genuine she seems to others. She's very clear in speaking which brings her many International fans. Instead, she has a more subtle and classy charm. She gets very comfortable on stage, like within 5 minutes.
+ Perfectionist: From head-to-toes, she strives for excellence. So when she has work to be done, she as it done to her standards (hair, school projects, her body even). She often looks to specific qualities when deciding what "perfect" is. If something looks perfect, then it is. She idolizes others who hold this same trait, and may want to befriend them.
- Tactless: She's honest! Which is a plus, if only she didn't have mouth-diarrhea. Often times, she can be frank to a fault and doesn't take into consideration how others feel (especially the more sensitive people). Having a filter is too difficult for her. When she doesn't like someone, her tongue is even more scathing, because she doesn't hide her dislike.
- Belligerent: She is willing to start arguments rather quickly, often on the basis of dishonesty ("you're lying, tell me the truth.") she butts heads with people she disagrees, and can cause unrest in a situation because she voices her displeasure so easily. Once you get her in the fighting mood, something has to give and the problem must be solved.
- Obsessive: She can be worried with anything that’s not (you guessed it) perfect. When she is assigned something she’s interested in, she’ll repeat it for hours until it matches up. This can annoy others, especially since no one wants to see someone look like they're stuck in an endless feedback loop. Once, she had issues with her part in a song, so she took it upon herself to sing the same part for three million years.
- Capricious: She's so used to routine that breaking it often leads to her resentment (you'll know it because she'll be complaining the entire way). If a big thing has been changed, she will most likely not mind. But if it's a small detail that she can't distinguish, she'll give some hell. This gives her the appearance of being arbitrary and someone who picks the wrong fights.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫   

Seonhye was born to her parents, her father a plastic surgeon, her mother a client/marketing executive at SM Entertainment. Her father was a highly-recommended surgeon for his skill in transforming people completely. Thus, they were considerably better off than most Koreans and she had the access to money. Overall, she was born into a great background which would only get better as the demand for plastic surgery rose with the standards of the average Korean. She lived a relatively normal, if not rich-kid, lifestyle as an only child (Strangely enough, she was a very shy and quiet kid at the time). She was registered into dance classes at a very early age (4 years) because her mother felt that it'd be nice to expose her to some art form as well as get her to be sociable. She liked the attention she'd get on stage, and soon was able to start shedding that shyness off.

When she was around 6-7 years old, she started in dance competitions around the world, often traveling to China, Japan and the U.S. She didn't start placing until she was 9 years old, often being around 4th or 5th. As the years passed, she got closer to 1st, and finally began winning trophies at 12. She earned recognition in her home country, being invited to Korean TV shows at age 14 because they called her "Little Sooyoung" because of her resemblance to the SNSD vocalist. Her popularity grew in China as well, even featuring on a Chinese variety show the same year. Soon after the big boom in the Korean Wave, she then decided that she wanted to become an idol, and went into SOPA (School of Performing Arts) so she could also work on singing skills. She didn't do quite well as a singer (because her range wasn't as impressive as other well-versed singers), but did very well as a dancer. She was thinking about trying out at a different entertainment company for being an idol, because she didn't want to deal with people claiming nepotism on her part. However, her mother's friend decided that he'd scout her instead so she could audition, at age 17. She made it in, because SM wanted to help her popularity as a child dancer and she was good for their image (which was slowly declining).

⟪ TRAINEE LIFE⟫ 

Some trainees recognized her as the "Little Sooyoung", others were impressed at her dance skills and others really didn't pay heed to her. She became the closest to Seulgi and Jongin, because they were all dancers which were around the same age. They all attended the same high school as well, so they often went together and had a small little group. However, the rivalry was still present between trainees for the next group to be debuted. As it turned out, it was "Kai". Short one member, Seulgi and Seonhye felt the tension (but didn't let it ruin their friendship). They practiced long hours, and it seemed that Seonhye was plateauing with progress as she went nowhere. The biggest problem was: "You can dance but your vocals need stability," a comment from the majority of her vocal coaches. Stress seemed to push her down, but she fought back and readied herself for debut. She's trained for 3 years.

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫ 

They met when SM wanted Seonhye to learn Chinese with a study buddy, and since they decided that dancers would work together well, they asked Yixing to work with her. When she first met Yixing, she smiled and said, "You're cute. I like you." Yixing took this as a sign of friendship, and not flirting. Ever since, she makes fun of him for not getting the big idea. The pairing is (thanks to Seonhye) very one-sidedly public within SMTown. Seonhye makes sure Yixing knows to what extent she likes him. She thought her little crush would go away, but she still has a lot of curiosity about him so it's still going strong. Yixing on the other hand, doesn't want to go into a relationship, and doesn't want to expose Seonhye to rumors so they keep it hush hush under the SM building. When they're together, they joke around quite often, and practice dancing. It's gotten to a point that for Seonhye, most of SMtown equates "learning Chinese" to having small hangouts with Yixing. It's more of a Seonhye flirts, Yixing either nicely says no or compliments her back. They can end up dating, but still super secret to the netizen population.
