New Year Resolutions

I've been thinking about New Year Resolutions for myself, and I feel as though writing them down validates them more, so i decided it would be fun to share here & hear a couple from you guys as well. Here are mine:

  1. Be nicer to myself: I've been told by many people, family and friends, that I tend to be harsh with myself. Then, I started paying closer attention to my thoughts and feelings and realized that I do tend to be very unforgiving. This year, I want to be more accepting of myself and give myself the space to make mistakes, to learn and figure out the real me.
  2. Get more sleep: Pretty self-explanatory. In 2014, I generally slept around midnight or a little bit after and woke up at promptly 7 AM each morning, meaning that I get about 6 hours of sleep even though the recommended amount is 8 hours.
  3. Save more money: I'm a horrid spender.
  4. Get out more often: I'm a bit of a homebody, and a solitary one at that. I spend a lot of time alone in my bedroom. And there ain't nothing wrong with that except I sometimes forget that the main idea of life is to go out and live it, and I spend way too much avoiding actively participating in it. My aim to go to more school-hosted events and to make more of an effort to connect with friends and family.
  5. Get a better job: I've written before that I currently work two jobs, at a hardware store and at a bank. I am thinking about quitting my job at the hardware store. Actually, I have been thinking about it for a while. The job invovles a lot of lifting and I actually don't know very much about home crafts and home improvement anyway, so I feel really out of place there. Further, I don't even get that many hours and they don't pay me especially well. The only reason I've stuck with it so long is because I couldn't find a good time to turn in my 2-week notice and I am trying to find a better job, first. Also, despite how everything has been, I really have bonded a lot with my co-workers, and I'll surely be sad to leave them.
  6. Blog more: I find that blogging like this really helps clear my mind, so I want to try and do it more often!

agree with getting more sleep and saving money. I don't really sleep well and good at saving money in 2014 so...

mine are:
1. get more sleep
2. not stressed too much
3. get good grades ahah
4. to be more sociable and nicer with people
5. be healthy

and yes, i think blogging is a good thing too that people can write down their thoughts that they can't speak out and it's also nice to read people's thoughts, in a good way xD

I totally agree with the "sleep earlier" resolution. I've been trying to break the habit but so far, it's not working :(

So let's see.
1. Get a job.
2. Meet more people and be more approachable (I've been told I was kind of a cold person)
3. Just don't procrastinate on homework in general because school is that important, and so is my future. (yeah, university and all that stuff)
4. Figure out why I'm having some type of writer's block lately. (like all the words I write don't seem to connect well/make sense. I'm never satisfied)
5. Read more classics.

So yeah, that's the gist of my New Year Resolutions. I hope you blog more often, because I really do enjoy reading your blogs :) Happy New Year and may 2015 bring joy and productivity for all of us <3

1. Learn how to say "no" more often and with no guilt: I give in way too often and make burdensome promises.
2. Drink lots of water: I was hospitalized twice for dehydration because the lack of water was causing migraines and bad stomach aches.

That's all I have for now.
