background hong gaeul was born in the middle of autumn, october 16, 1995 at hongseong, south korea. her name, gaeul, means autumn, the season she was born. she is the second child of the hong family. she has two sisters, yeoreum (oldest) and gyeowool (youngest). her sisters are her bestfriends. no matter how wild yeoreum is or timid gyeowool is, gaeul loves them to the fullest (second to her parents of course). her family lived in shinjuku, japan for 10 years since she was five. the hong family runs a bakery which came from their ancestors. it was the reason why they lived in japan, to spread their 100 year old store. japan is the closest country to south korea, after north korea. her parents also loved the japanese culture. her parents taught them how to make bread too. she is very grateful to her parents for teaching her how to do things. in japan, gaeul excelled in her studies and was the student council's vice president for three years. she was pretty popular, being the longest running student in the student council. but there were also bad memories. gaeul found her first love, a senpai, but was rejected. gaeul sweared to never be close to boys, even if she doesn't get married. she also faced a very strict teACHER THAT GAVE HER LOW SCORES. AFTER THAT INCIDENT, SHE became a very strict perfectionist. when gaeul turned 15, she and her siblings moved back to korea to let her them study in korea. the lived with their aunt in seoul before going to high school. they decided to study in uisan high. they will come back to japan after gyeowool graduates college.

 

bestfriends : park eunjoo / 19 / eunjoo is a carefree and friendly. she and gaeul had been seatmates since their first year of high school. she is a worrywart. that was the reason she became friends with gaeul. gaeul was cold to her a first, she was worried that gaeul will be lonely, with the attitude she showed her / gaeul trusts eunjoo very much because of their long friendship. she shares her secrets with her. eunjoo tries her best to be classmates and seatmates with gaeul.

close friend : shin hyejeong / 20 / hyejeong is gaeul's lovely cousin. she is treated like a princess and is a little spoiled. being honest/blunt runs in their blood. / hyejeong is gaeul's senior. she is supposed to lead gaeul in school but it turns out that opposite. hyejeong always sticks with gaeul. but gaeul doesn't mind bcause they are relatives

schoolmate : kim jongdae / 19 / jongdae is a kind guy but she finds him annoying because she dislikes getting close to guys. he was the one who approached her first, which gaeul considered as one of the fools / jongdae always tries to make a conversation with gaeul, which she replies back because she doesn't want to be rude. sometimes she comments him very bluntly (close to rudely)

dorm life their relationship is fine. most of the time (the dormmate) is the starter of a conversation. gaeul replies and comments back. when gaeul starts a conversation, its mostly about school works and events. gaeul is the one who cleans the dorm often.

 

school lifestyle gaeul is known in uisan high for she holds a position in the student council. her academic grades were excellent. she starts the in school very early, 6 am (she wakes up at 5 am). she has a notebook that indicates the things she will do that day:  (peek inside the notebook) '- buy extra food at lunch for snacks ....... - use yeowang to stop jongdae from talking to me .......' . She goes to the student council club room to discuss things with the members. after school, she goes to the cafe to study while eating.

life in extracurricular activity gaeul is the student council's vice preident. she accepts that her position is to assist (a fool) the president. she is used to this position because she was the vice president in her former school. though she is not used having members who cry often. gaeul is the one who leads meetings when the president is too busy crying. she goes to school extra early to clean their club room. but sometimes gaeul becames the president personal assistant, she follows anyway.
