re: my christmas wish

miracles do happen.

about a week ago, a super typhoon was approaching our country. it was observed to be stronger than the previous one that decimated the central islands (can you guess where i'm from?) and was also supposed to go through the metropolis. i was terrified. being a natural worrywart, this impending danger just pushed my anxiety over the edge. the last blog entry was a distraction of some sort, just to temporarily calm my nerves.

i am sure that there were a lot more people whose prayers are so fervent. they are those who have lost their loved ones a year ago from another typhoon. because of a government that is too corrupt to properly help its people, the victims last year still do not have proper shelter today. their "bunk houses" were also destroyed when this typhoon slowly crawled through. but i believe that the prayers were definitely answered. the super typhoon became weaker and weaker as she passed through the land. there are no casualties numbering in thousands this time. it feels like we were given another chance. this fickle typhoon, moving at 10 kph, with a diameter of 600 km across, was weakened by siberian winds. it did not exactly "dissipate through some unknown powers", but it did dissipate enough to not cause a tragedy. i am beyond relieved. miracles do happen, and i am sincerely grateful.

now, going back to the shinhwa issue, i am still hoping for a positive outcome. :3

merry christmas, everyone.
