Emma is what you call the "fashionista" of the group. Emma's style is feminine with the hint of girly. She likes to wear comfortable clothes instead of super tight clothing.Despite being short, she prefers to wear flat shoes instead of heels but She'll throw on some heels if they'll go well with her outfit. Around the dorm, Emma tends to wear a lot of sweater or something that'll keep her nice and warm. Most of the time she likes to wear her long Donald Duck sweater and hat around the dorm. For practice she likes to wear comfortable clothes, something she'll be able to move around in. Emma has habit of wearing long sleeves to dance practice even though she knows she'll become hot later on. When going to the airport, Emma turns into a fashionista. Emma loves to show her creative side/express herself through her outfits. Since Emma has an obsession with hats or any type of head wear, she'll try to finish her outfits with a fashionable hat. Onto formal wear, Emma tends to...go all out. Jewelry, Makeup, and accessories is a must for Emma. She believes that every formal event is a time to get glammed up.

(+) Shy: Emma is a naturally shy person. Since she really didn't talk to anyone when she was little, talking to people is quite hard for her. Emma usually feels uneasy when she's in a room filled with strangers. That is when her nervousness kicks in. You may think being shy is a negative but Emma thinks it's a positive about herself. 

(+) Observant: When Emma is quiet she likes to observe the people around her. She likes to see what makes people happy and what makes them sad. This habit makes her a great listener. You could go on and on about your problems and Emma would never be bored. She'll then give you great feedback.

(+) Thoughtful: Emma is the type of person who is considerate about other people’s feelings. For example if she wanted to do something daring and her friend was uncomfortable with it, Emma will put her wants aside and do what her friend wants to do. Emma always thinks before she speaks, something that people lack. The last thing she wants is to get into a fight with anyone

(+) Outgoing: Once you get to know Emma you'll find that she's an outgoing person. She'll let her crazy side out to you if you take the time to get to know her. The only few friends she has knows she's a crazy and fun person. The people that usually try to get to know her will find her quite boring so they'll leave her alone. Emma loves goofing around with her close ones.

(+) Passionate: Emma takes her work, her dream very seriously. She puts so much effort into her singing as well as her dancing. During trainee days. Emma would be one of the few that would stay late practicing. Emma would beat her self up if she doesn't like the outcome of something she'd practiced. She'll redo it over and over until she reaches a finally result

(-) Nervous: Emma can get nervous pretty quickly. It all comes from her shyness. Performing by herself or performing in front of a crowd is generally nerve wracking for her. Just to think of a million different eyes on her freaks her out. But she hopes she can overcome her nervousness when she becomes a singer. 

(-) Hot-Headed: Yes Emma is hot headed. She never was hot headed when she was little but as she became older, fighting with her mother all the time made her hot headed. Emma can become mad about almost anything, so be careful of what you say/do in front of her. To know when she is upset she'll flare her nose and breathe out hard, almost like a bull. 

(-) Stubborn: Once her mind is set on something there is no way to change her mind. Sure there is away to change her mind but you'll have to be very persuasive. When getting into arguments with her you won't win. Emma has been arguing with one of the most stubborn person ever, her mother, so she knows how to win an argument. 

(-) Lazy: Everyone is Lazy at some point. When Emma has nothing to do, she'll plop on her bed and won't get up until she needs to. If there is nothing on her agenda to do then she'll lock herself in her room with different types of junk food. Being lazy is her last resort. If she can't find anyone to hang out with or if she can't find anything for herself to do then she'll laze around the house.

(-) Determined: Emma considers being determined a negative trait about her. Her determination also ties in with her passionate trait. When she started training she wasn't the best dancer among the girls in her training group. Emma was determined to be on the same level as the other girls. She would be in the dance studio at crazy hours. With having her dancing improve on her mind constantly, she'll skip meals. Even though she'd be hungry, she'll set her hunger to the side and focus on her dancing or what task she's doing. In a way Emma thanks her determination side because now she's a good dancer and singer but she also hates it because thinking back to how her health was affected by it, she wishes to never go through it again

(-) Holding a Grudge: It isn't a surprise that Emma is capable of holding a grudge. Emma can hold a grudge over the simplest things but she'll eventually get over it. One grudge that Emma has been holding for years is the one for her mother. Emma's mother had controlled her ever since she little which didn't allow her to a proper childhood. It may seem silly to have a grudge over that but to Emma it isn't. Emma believes she never got to be herself when she was little; it is the main reason why she is unsure about the things she likes. 

(-) Blunt: Even though Emma doesn't want to admit it, She gets her bluntness from her mother. Emma isn't afraid to speak her mind about anything and everything. She is aware that her bluntness may come off the wrong way about her but it's something that she can’t control. Now Emma tries to think about what she says before speaking her thought out aloud. She understands that what she says can hurt someone feelings, she had to go through that with her mother, but she is trying very hard to let down a person gently.

— the story of my life, i take her home

Emma was born in Paris, Île de France on April 6th, 1995.Emma was brought into a somewhat strict family. Emma started to learn English at the age of 2 and was taught mostly by her father. Her mother tried to teach Emma Korean but Emma wasn't connecting with the language. Growing up she didn't have a normal childhood like most people. Since she was the the 1st daughter her parents had, they wanted her to be involved with a lot things. Emma's mother signed her up to almost everything she could think of ballet, Piano Lessons, Girls Scouts, etc. Instead of playing with Barbie dolls and spending time in the park with the other kids, Emma was either in front of a piano or in a pink tutu. At first her father didn't see the problem with his daughter being involved with skillful activities but when he noticed how bored she was, he withdrawer her from them which caused for an unhappy mother

Since Emma wasn't social with others when she was little it was hard for her to make friends when she was in elementary school. Other kids would want to play with her but since Emma didn't know the meaning of 'play' the kids would leave her alone, thinking that she was boring and weird. There was only one person who stuck by her, her best friend Emily. All throughout elementary Emma and Emily were inseparable. When Middle School came along that's when problems started to happen with her and her mother.

Emma's mother became a control freak. She told Emma who and who she couldn't hang out with, the type of grades she expected her to get and for her to join a certain amount of clubs. Emma wasn't shocked that her mother expected so much of her. Emma's older brother was a straight A student and was involved with a lot of school activities, so her mother wanted her to be just like her brother. It wasn't until High school where Emma cracked. 

Emma has talked to her dad about mom being controlling all the time and he did try to talk to his wife but she would never listen to him. Emma went to her guidance consular in school and asked to be taken out of all the things she was signed up for. She was done trying to be like her brother she wanted to be herself for once.  When her mother found out about it the two got into a fight. The fight was bad to the point where neither of them would speak to each other. Emma was quite happy that her mother was off her back but also sad that she'll never have a good relationship with her mother.

Emma's high school years was the best years she had all her life. During her freshmen year she joined the school's chorus and loved every moment of it. In chorus she found out she had a decent singing voice. The next year she was gifted with a pink guitar from her father for a birthday present. At first Emma thought her mother pressured her dad to get her the guitar but when he explained the real reason why he bought it for her she was touched. It took a month for Emma to start playing the guitar but when she took lessons for it she instantly loved it. 

When May came along it was time for the school's talent show. Emma prepared to perform Taylor Swift's You Belong With Me. Even though Emma was extremely scared to perform by herself, She put nervousness away and walked on the stage tightly holding onto her pink guitar. Once she sang the first verse she wasn't scared anymore. She found it rather comfortable to perform in front of others. Her amazing performance got her 1st place

During Junior year Emma saw an advertisement online about auditions for JYP Entertainment. Emma was curious to what JYP Entertainment was and searched it up and that was when she found out about kpop and fell in love with it. She found it so fascinating to see artists dancing and singing since she usually doesn't see it in the type of music she listened to.  Emma thought about auditioning for JYP Entertainment but was really hesitant to. She knew her mother would flip out if she wanted to be a singer, so Emma stuck to her original career choice, a fashion designer. 

When Emma started fashion school she was quite bored. Even though she loved fashion and creating outfits, it wasn't exciting her. Emma's mind wandered back to auditioning for JYP Entertainment. She talked to her father about it and he encouraged her to do it, Emma's mother on the other hand wasn't too thrilled about it. Going with her gut insects, Emma sent in a video audition to JYP and surprising she accepted. Within the next month Emma was on her way to Korea to train at JYP Entertainment

After 1 year of training at JYP Entertainment Emma decided to move to Woollim Entertainment.

Father — Jarard Ru // 48 // Firefighter // Daring, Brave, Funny // Emma's relationship with her father is very strong. Instead of going to her mother for advice she'd rather go to him instead. Jarard tries to be the best father to his 1st and olny daughter. At a young age Emma was her father's shadow. Every where he went she was right there behind him. The only time Emma wasn't with her dad was either at his work (Jarard is a Fireman) or when she is attending school. With going to Korea, it was hard for the two to part ways, Emma wouldn't be having her biggest supporter be with her everyday now. Every Monday and Friday is when they would speak to eachother over the phone. Since it is expensive to make a long distance call, they decided to talk only on those 2 days.

Mother — Hyunae Ru // 47 // College Professor // Strict, Bossy, Caring // Emma's relationship with her mother isn't so great. Ever time they speak to each other they break out into an arugument. Emma and Hyunae have never had a Mother-Daughter relationship and Emma refuses to have one with her. Hyunae hates the career choice Emma has made. She'd rather Emma be a Fashion Designer than a singer in Korea. Hyunae doesn't thinmk Emma will make it as a singer, one of the reasons why Emma is extremely determined to prove her mother wrong. Even though Hyunae is tough on Emma, it is only because she cares about her. She doesn't want to her daughter upset that she won't make it into music industry one day. Hyunae tries to keep her harsh words to herself but they always slip and she knows that's the reason why Emma doesn't want to have any type of relationship with her.

Older Brother — David Ru // 24 // College Student // Annoying (to Emma), Blunt, Active // Emma's relationship with her older brother is good. Like every brother and sister out there, They have disagreements all the time. It's something unavoidable. David has the tendency to call Emma by the nickname he came up for her in public all the time. Emma looks up to her brother more than he think she does. Secretly, David is one of Emma's inspirations of wanting to be an entertainer. Just like Emma, David is also good at singing, but only Emma knows about it.

Q : " how are things going for you? " — "Everything is going well. During the hiatus I went back to France for 2 months to see my family and some old friends. Then I returned back to Korea to start college for Fashion yay! (Sarcasm) haha just kidding I'm actually enjoying the college life^^. Right now I'm at the point were my life is hectic at the moment. Juggling college and preparing for the comeback is a little stressful but I'm getting through it" *smiles*

Q : " do you have anything to say according to your comeback? " — "For our comeback we're going to show you a different side of us, a side that you have never seen before. Amaranth is working very hard to make this comeback worthwhile for so...stay tuned!" *Laughs*

Q : " many fans have missed you. please give them a short speech. " — *smiles* "Awww you've missed me? I've missed all of you as well! I can't wait to meet some of you so I can express my true gratitude to you and tell you how much you mean to me. As corny as it sound, without you guys I don't think I'd be where I am today. Your love and support is what keeps me going. Please continue to support me and the rest of the Amaranth members in the future!"

Mark Tuan

— Jackson

personality — Mark is considered to have a "Soft Charm". Since he is quiet in nature, there are no ups or downs with her. His style is to know what he will do and accomplish it without hesitation. He is handsome, and he is manly while having soft charms. He seems to be quietly strong. He doesn’t waver. He is not the type that talks differently behind the back wherever he goes. Mark shows his outgoing side mostly to his close ones and the members of Got7. Mark would rather be in the background instead of being center of attention. Mark would like to keep his private life to myself instead of it being known to the public.

relationship — Mark and Emma try to see each other as much as possible. Mark would somehow convince Emma to go out with him late at night, just so he could see her. When they both have packed schedules they'd seen each other Good Morning texts and Good Night texts. Mark deemed Emma as his personal stylist. He'll call Emma to his apartment to help pick out an outfit for a special occasion. Emma tends to joke around with Mark. One time Emma and her friend Jaesun faked to be in a relationship. Emma likes to see Mark jealous, she finds it very cute. For skin ship, Emma lets Mark lead the skinship. The most Mark does is holding her hand and hugging her. There was one time Mark had kissed Emma on the cheek. He took her speechless as a sign of she didn't like it.
When they are in public together they aren't that close but you can feel that something is there between them. They'll sneak smiles, winks and even some crazy faces at each other. If someone is talking, they’d zone that person out and just stare at each other.

history — During Emma's training years, Emma used to work in a popular clothing store. Emma was used to seeing Idols coming in but was surprised when GOT7 had came. Since it was Emma's day to asist the customers, She had to them find some clothing. When Emma greeted them she stuttered over her words, since her Korean wasn't that good at the time. The GOT7 thought her stuttering only happend because they were Idols. Out of the 7 Mark was the only that found it adorable. As the members went on their owns to find clothes, Mark asked Emma for her help. There conversation was very basic. The whole time they were talking Mark was obserbing her. He noticed how it would take awhile for Emma to respond to him and when she did, she sounded like she was unsure about her words. Leading the conversation, Mark started to speak in English hoping that was her native language

Their conversation went from clothing to asking questions about each other. They were so interested in each other that they didn't notice the time had pasted quickly (and the GOT7 members looking at them). It was an hour before closing which meant it was time for the members to leave. Jackson had to drag Mark out the door by the arm because he didn't want to leave. Just before he was completly out the door he promised Emma that he'll see her again as soon as she debuted. With that promisee Emma worked extra hard in her training, she really wanted to see him again. 

 It's been 10 months since the two had last seen/spoken to each other in person. The only time Emma had seen him was through her tv screen and in magazines (which she kept) It was the day of Amaranth's debut stage, the day Emma's been waiting for since forever. There 2 main reasons: 1. She's finally able to preform the song she's been working very hard with the rest of the Amaranth members, &  2. It was also GOT7's comeback stage. She's been hoping she'd see Mark again, to see if he kept the promise he made to her 10 months ago. Emma watched GOT7's comeback stage, mostly looking forward to Mark. Mark's looked completly changed from 10 months ago. His hair was Red, His face looked different because of his age and to Emma he looked tanner/mascular. 

Amaranth was on right after GOT7. Emma waited with the rest of the members by the stage, when GOT7 came off. Emma smiled at Mark, congradualting him on making a comeback. But with all the other people doing the same, Mark didn't see her. Emma pouted when he started to talk with other people. F.BI was then called up for the stage. One by one the girls nervously went onto stage. Emma was the last to go, she was so happy she was last because right before she steped onto the stage, Mark called out to her. She turned around only to come face to face with the vocalist. "I told you I'd see you again. Right when you debuted" Mark said as he smiled cheeky at her. Emma was completly shocked. She honestly though he forgot. 

Mark laughed at her speechless state before looking onto the stage, only to see Amaranth calling Emma to get her on stage. "Time to make your debut stage" With a gental push, Mark pushed Emma onto stage.  

other —  [Conclusion] For a special stage 4 members of amaranth and 4 members of Got7 were set to do a special stage of Troublemaker's Now with eachother. During pratice Emma was paried up with JB (or with any other member of Got7)and she felt uncomfortable dancing so close to him. Mark noticed the stiffness in Emma's dancing and imeditely stepped in. Mark got premission to switch partners with JB which made Emma happy. Dancing with eachother felt strange...a good strange. Over the days of the pratice members from both groups started to notice how close Mark and Emma were. They were asked if they were more than friends and the couple answered truthfully that they were just friends

After the the preformance (sorry for skipping days) Got7 treated the members of Amarath to dinner. Throughout the dinner Mark was acting his usual. He was participating in any of the conversations, barley eatting, and he would ocasionaly look at Emma then imdietly look away when she catches him
