PERSONALITY —

TaeRa is awkward and shy when it comes to meeting people and encountering new places for the first time. She becomes nervous and clumsy, which makes her afraid to make mistakes. So mostly she chooses to say or do nothing at all, and that's why strangers often assume that she's a quiet girl. But they don't know how wrong they are... 'Cause after a few moments of being silent and finally deciding that she can't stay like this, TaeRa makes her "comeback" by blurting out any random sentence that comes in her mind (she holds the "world record of strangest meetings with people").

So yes, that's TaeRa. Weird, strange, blunt, shy and clumsy. Oh God, her clumsiness, do I really have to talk about that? Well, she has two left feet, a mouth which doesn't know what "closed" is and the weirdest, craziest mind in the universe. Many often wonder how a person like her could exist, or if she could possibly be the proof of aliens on earth.. Everything you wouldn't expect her to do or say, she manages to do anyway. Whether it's wearing a pair of different socks, telling people about that hideous pimple on their nose or tripping over a ladybug. She all manages to do it.

There's one strange thing about her clumsiness: she doesn't seem to be bothered by it when she's pulling pranks on others. In fact, she isn't clumsy at all then! All her pranks are on point and always succeed. She's very proud at that.

One thing TaeRa isn't exactly proud of is her personality, she thinks she's embarrassing (which she is) and too awkward around strangers. But then, you may ask, why doesn't she stop acting so weird all the time? The problem is... That isn't so easy for her. Being a blunt and impulsive person, she can't control her actions. She doesn't think before handling, she just acts how she is. This makes her a very honest person, and also one who can't hold shut when someone tells her a secret. It causes a lot of problems between her and her friends, but in the end she always gets away with it because she such a excellent moodmaker. She always knows a way to make her friends happy, acting a little bit more crazy than usual always seems to help.

Around friends and family she's the kind of girl to make everyone laugh and smile. She's a real prankster who always gets away with it. She's playful, witty, cheerful, friendly and... still clumsy. Friends with it all the time, something that she doesn't like at all! TaeRa is easily annoyed, hates getting teased (but loves teasing others) and can be really impatient.

She always shows and says what she thinks, and has no intention in hiding her feelings (since she's blunt, like stated before). People she doesn't like will know! And people she likes will be stalked and followed by her all day long, like how a puppy follows its owner.

So, yes, TaeRa can be a little bit too annoying (another tactic of her to friends). But besides of all of that, she is a happy-go-lucky girl who works hard in the group and on stage. There, she's always smiling and being positive, but, of course, fans are still always able to spot her "4D-ness". 

 

BACKGROUND —

TaeRa was born on June 12,1995. She lives with her parents in Seoul. Her mother lived in the US before coming to South-Korea to live with her husband. She started teaching English there, which made TaeRa interested in languages herself. She learnt to speak English at the age of ten, but still had a lot to learn. At school, she didn't do really well. Not only did she make not many friends, due to her weird and clumsy personality, but her grades weren't high either. She only did exceptionally well at languages and art. Soon, it became one of the only things she enjoyed. She began to write and with her father's help, she became quite good at it. TaeRa wanted to combine art/music and writing, so she started to write and produce songs on her own. But around that time her grades for Math started to drop and she needed someone to help her outside of school. That someone became Moon ByulYi, a girl who was 2 years older than TaeRa. She helped TaeRa improve at Math and they eventually became good friends. TaeRa later found out that ByulYi really enjoyed music and rapping, so she showed her some of the songs she composed. ByulYi was impressed and asked TaeRa if she wanted to do something with it in the future, like becoming an artist or something. It was something she never really thought of, but she liked the idea of becoming an idol. That's how TaeRa started to practise singing and rapping, with the help of ByulYi. When she was at the age of 15, she auditioned for YG Entertainment and got accepted.

Jackson Wang is 'wild and y'. There. Done. What? Do I need to tell more? Fine. Jackson is an extremely funny guy. And he doesn't hold back either. You want a weird face? Easily done. He is not ashamed of himself and actually very confident. He likes flirting and showing off. But he can also be very impatient and easily offended. People who pay interest in him, will get attention back. So, Jackson seems like a very playful person and all, but luckily he also has a serious side. It might not excactly fit his image, but he is actually very often quiet and calm. A person can't always be joking around you know? (except if you're called Kang Taera *cough* *cough*)

Jackson and TaeRa met before he was about to debut. TaeRa was picked up from the streets to star in GOT7's debut song 'Girls Girls Girls' Luckily for TaeRa, the way they met wasn't one of the weirdest meetings she had with people. That would be really embarrassing. But anyway, shall I tell how they met? Fine. The two met on the location of the filming of the mv, where Jackson was busy practicing the dance, before they would start to film. He hadn't noticed that TaeRa was intently looking at his dancing. And here it comes: at some point at the dance TaeRa suddenly started clapping, because she thought that one of Jackson's parts in his dance looked really cool. The problem was, she was the only one who started clapping and it looked really random. Jackson, who had heard her turned around in shock, since he didn't know that there had been someone watching him. After TaeRa tried to explain why she did that (and failing miserably at it) Jackson could laugh about it. They introduced each other and quickly became good friends. Okay, I guess it was a kind of embarrassing meeting after all. But well, still much less embarrassing as her other ones! (Yeah they are that weird...). Anyways, Jackson and TaeRa have similar personalities; they both love music, rapping, making jokes and having fun. Thanks to TaeRa, Jackson became a real prankster and together they are 'famous' for their pranks and jokes. Not something that they would have expected from Jackson (even though he's funny as hell), so everyone blames TaeRa for it, which she finds unfair. Jackson always teases her with it, and claiming to be innocent himself. So TaeRa calls him the devil, since he's far from innocent. But aside from the jokes, they also have serious conversations sometimes. Those are the times that they really can talk about their problems, work and other stuff. Jackson and TaeRa really understand each other and always lend each other support and help.
