Writer's Block

I had writer's block for at least six months now. I'm finally writing again and I feel like I've been reborn. So, if you get writer's block there are a lot of things you can do to make it go away quicker or even instantly. I promise. I actually had gotten rid of mine just today. I'm currently working on my first fanfic and had the first four chapters planned out, wrote them, and everything was awesome, (not a Lego Movie reference, or is it?) but then lost all motivation to finish it. I had ideas of where I wanted it to go, but not sure how to execute it. Now I'm currently finishing up the 5th chapter..

My 3 tips for what to do if you get writer's block:

-The obvious, which is take a break. If you ain't feelin' the story you're on, don't force it.

-Talk it out with other authors that get it. Talk about the story you were working on, how to continue/finish it, why the writer's block happened, where to find new inspiration, ect. This is the main advice I can give to anyone. Today I talked out my story with lilspydermunkey (which btw go check out her stories they are the bomb) where I wanted it to go and she talked her stories out, which actually went on for several hours. She gave me a lot of ideas and inspired me to finish my story. This made me remember why I liked writing in the first place and it helped get my creative juices flowing. So talk to an author you're friends with. Hell, friend me and we can talk. I don't bite! (unless your into that).

-Drink tea. This doesn't necessariy help writer's block, but it's still a good idea in general.

This is the best advice I could come up with. Comment if you have other advice that helps with writer's block or even writing in general. And friend me! Now I gotta get back to actually writing my story! ^^

-Peace out homies, Lauren
