Retrospective #1: Ad Girl

Let me start by thanking the most important person of all to toda, DragonTopsThePanda. I can't thank her enough for her abundant help and her belief in me and my story. I am eternally honored by the fact that you'd share so much with me to allow Biophilia such a huge opportunity to expand.

My sister and I freaked out about winning the bid and I can't believe the wonderful response I've gotten since then; I think it's doubled the number of subscribers and the page views jumped a ton too. Here are some pics of the ad that I excitedly screenshotted today so I would never forget this ---

It is almost impossible to believe that I only began about a year ago and somehow I've come this far ... my own personal brand of art is so ugly, splattered, and angry so to think that SO many people would get my vision and desire to share in it is amazing to me.

Biophilia is my ray of sunshine among rage, but it's content is still somewhat dark and when I started publishing it, I really didn't know where it was going to go. I knew that it was kind of abrassive and was highly idealistic so it had the potential to really be an impossible piece, but I believed in it and so many months later, apparently so do 400+ people and that's ing cool ^^

So thank you <3 Thank you friends, thank you subscribers, thank you DragonTopsThePanda (it took me a disturbingly long amount of time to pick up that Taoris joke), thank you Jesus Christ, thank you Venus, and thank you post modern madness that can allow me to make a collage out of every color of the rainbow.

Okay, now that all of that terrible, angsty, mushy stuff is done, here is the proper goodbye for Biophilia I should have done so long ago on my blog section.

The story is finished it's completeness (unlike Genesis, which I cut down) and includes every detail I wanted and honestly, I don't think anything more needs to be with it. I've occasionally thought about maybe a short sequel to explore their lives after it all ends, but there's not anymore to say. Unlike other stories, where the future I envision for them is incredibly grim following the closing chapters, Biophilia ended happily and completely for me. Beyond the last chapter that skips far in the future, I think Kai and Kyungsoo will raise their little daughter and live happily ever after. Maybe another child, as I always thought Kyungsoo longed for family, but I can't imagine a giant family for them because Soo had so much in the end. Simplicity was what he needed as did Kai; they lived so fast paced, but they were able to make one another calm and that was a big thing that worked for them.

Finally, here is the art to the story in early versions up to it's final version that I posted:

1 - Made before the story began (Intrigue concept, no title but in the BG)

2 - First flirtations with Koons stylings (blue version)

3 - Final one (I'm posting the titleless version) and the official BG
