Doseok is the friendly guy whom is easily approachable. keeping his calm gestures at all time, he always seemed to smile, and talked with a cheerful tone all day long. people likes to be around him as he is a man of politeness. he respected the elders and woman, and other people's right. he won't go on poking and abusing other people's right. he usually keeps things to himself, but ocaasionally he opens up to his closest friends. somehow adventurous, he likes to be engaged in an extreme activities such as rock climbing or parkour, but as his life becoming busier, he enjoys an occasional skateboarding or skating his way around the neighborhood in the evening.

 

although doseok is a polite guy, it is quite hard for him to accept and listen to other people's advice - the reason he keeps things to himself. He hates arguments, but he'll make sure that he'll win in every argument he had. he is a really stubborn person, and it usually took a lot of patient to reason with him. however, when it comes to decision he will let other people do it for him because he is a indecisive person. he always have this feeling that he'll be making the wrong decision. in fact, he sometims still questions himself if his decision to go in yg ent. is a good decision or not. at times, he is possesive of his own thing. he don't let people to touch his thing without permission, and if he realized his things are lost, he will make a very big fuss out of it.

being the only child in the family, he is spoilt by his parents. however, at the age of 6, his father and him had involved in an accident. his father took most of the blow, being in coma for a week before finally he passed away at the age of 35. because of the accident, he had a small crescent-like scar on the back of his right shoulder. he continue living with his mother, who did a great job raising him. however, when he started to join a band in the school, he got into an arguments with his mother. his mother was not the kind of people who enjoyed music, and she had always wanted doseok to be a doctor. being a stubborn person he is, doseok ran from home, and that's when he tried for the audition. when he was accepted as a trainee in yg ent., he went home, and managed to convince his mother that he will succed in his life.

 

so, at the age of 13, his fellow bandmates (a band he used to have in school) had decided to try their luck in the adition that was held in Seoul that particular year. among 7 audition they been through, doseok had been accepted to yg ent. while his friends mostly went in other big entertainment company. all alone, he started to make a new friends while he was in training. when the training period was harsh and hard upon him, he would go out at night and took a walk in the park while thinking about his past - about his decision to be in yg ent. although he doubts his decision many times, he never thought of quitting. as long as he can sing and dance, he'll try and make the best out of it, as he always remember the promises he made to his mother.

well, it is a too good to be true experience, so i would say that i'll be very happy. i'll probably gonna head back home and tell my mother that i finally succeed in what i am doing now - that the decision i pick is not wrong and my hard work finally paid off. iguess if i am accepted, i can feel nothing but grateful and contented.

 

obviously yg entertainment offers something different from the other entertainment company. as far as i concern, yg entertainment is a company of pure talent, and talent only. i don't need to change myself to be somebody else here. i can just be myself, yet i have the chance to learn lots of things and improved my self from time to time. and of course, other entertainment company would have rejected me for i am not that handsome as other applicants would be.

 

depends. let's say, if i have to work with someone that i have trouble adjusting with, then it will tough for me. but other than that, i guess i just have to get ready to work hard for everything, because it is what i am supposed to do.

 

truthfully, no. i never imagined myself as an idol, and i have too many flaws to be improved. if i am to say, the best quality of myself is i tend to keep on trying although the situation is getting tough. so if i were to make it as a 41n member, that's because of this.

in the company doseok was on his way to the training. he bumped into big bang group, but as he was late, he didn't have time to admire his idol but he passed by them and head to the practice room. he was scolded for being late, but that's when big bang comes into the practice room. apparently, big bang was supposed to be their moentor for the day. so they got to know each other from there.

they kept their relationship secret for two reason - first, because of their were too much, and second, because apparently if the news spread, their popularity might went downhill. only a few people knew of their relationship - gd and daesung, mix and match member that is close to doseok and the manager. as advised, they kept their relationship low, which means no dating outside of company. however, sometimes they sneak around and went out to the nearest park to have some time alone, just to enjoy each other's presence.
