Let me start off by saying I like all the 9 members of Mix and Match but I just can't understand all this hate towards the addition of Chanwoo into the group.

Seriously, YG had all of us in the palm of their hands. Let's get real, like WIN, Mix and Match is another good marketing strategy by YG. The very purpose is to make a solid fanbase for the boys. Isn't the very reason why team B lost WIN because they lacked fans compared to Winner? Well now that M&M is over I'm pretty sure iKon has a lot more fans now compared to WIN era.

The equation is really simple. Team B fans + 7th Member fans = More iKon fans

Is it harsh? Definitely. While watching M&M I was disappointed how the three newbies weren't on equal grounds, especially Hongseok who was added very late into the show. I didn't like how there was no equal screen time too, I just wished we could have seen more of Jinhyung and Hongseok. But it is wrong to say Chanwoo do not deserve to be on iKon because I'm pretty sure that the three newbies were chosen because they have something special that could benefit iKon as a group.

Also, this is not the end of Jinhyung and Hongseok. Through M&M they've gained more experience compared to other trainees. They've gained a lot of fans as well. So even if they leave or stay with YG, I'm pretty sure they have a bright future ahead of them.
