plotline — The Gadget Maniac

weapons — Alice does not participate in face-to-face combat most of the time, hence she carries only a taser and stun gun on missions for defense.

traits — Inventive, Intellectual, Independent, Perfectionist, Introverted, Dull, Hard-headed.

personality

Alice has always possessed the ability to invent. Since young, she was able to quickly and skillfully contrive things from simple instructions. Her creative mind has allows her to design and create gadgets that would be suited for different agents. Her inventive nature has earned her acknowledgement from senior agents and peers.

Alice is also an intellectual individual. She always seems to think practically, and realistically. Alice is sensible. She knows how to approach different situations in a logical manner and solve differences all while keeping her cool.

Independence was a trait that Alice had since she was young. Without the care from her parents, Alice learnt to do things herself at a young age so as to not bother her aged grandfather. At the age of 6, Alice had already been able to walk herself to school and do simple house chores. As she got older, she would help her grand father in his work and she eventually began looking for jobs of her own to share the financial burden.

Being the typical type O, Alice is passionate about gadgets. But it can get out of hand sometimes. She can drive herself up the wall with her obsessive perfectionist attitude. 'Don't stop till it's perfect', is her main mantra. She demonstrates this trait when she pulls several consecutive all-nighters, skipping meals and sabotaging her health just to complete a project.

Call her a stubborn mule because this girl is hard-headed as hell. Alice is a person who is strong on her beliefs. If you disagree with her, more often than not, you will be forced to sit through a long debate on who's right. And in the end she will still claim she's right.

It's no surprise that Alice is an introvert. Maybe it's because she's always working on her gadgets, maybe she's just born introverted. Either way, she does not know how to make friends easily. At first, she might seem unapproachable as she goes deadly silent around strangers. But it's not because she's cold or anything, she is simply too shy and too timid to make first moves. So it takes quite a lot for her to open up towards people she's unfamiliar with.

Some might call her boring, some say she lives under a rock. Well, they are not wrong. This might be one of the other causes of 'spending life in front of a computer'. To be put simply, Alice does not know how to have fun. Her childhood was mainly studying and working, so she has never attempted to do 'fun' things like go to the arcade, play in the playground, and all the things that most people would have done when they were younger. Because of this, Alice is always pointed out to be 'too serious' and dull.

background —
Unlike most others, the word parents has never existed in Alice's dictionary. Even before her birth, Alice was scheduled to be separated from her parents and sent to Korea, not because she was in danger, not because she had to be protect. Because she was viewed as a hindrance to her parent's work. Her parents were workaholics, that was obvious. By the time Alice was due, they were about to expand their already well-known company. The agreed unanimously that a child would only obstruct their big plans. With that, Alice - barely even a week old - was strapped up in a private plane and flown to Korea, where she would live with her grandfather.

Her grandfather, Son Jun Ho, back when he first met Alice, was a 67 year old engineer. He lived a humble and frugal life, fixing the electrical and electronic goods of the villagers in the small town he lived in. It was not a very profitable occupation as back then, the electrical and electronic goods were limited and the villagers were not as exposed to technology as the people in the cities. Still Jun Ho enjoyed what he did, and he was good at it. Far better than most engineers of that time. He was able to program different electrical appliances and modify it to enhance its functions. And it was little Alice who would be by his side, observing his work, with curiosity bubbling inside of her.

By the age of 7, Alice had already taken a great interest in computers. Jun Ho , upon realizing this, was ecstatic. That was when he began teaching Alice the ropes of engineering. By the age of 75,  Jun Ho had already imparted all of his knowledge to his beloved grand daughter. It was then when the sharp and continuous rise in Alice's potential started. Alice was always smarter than her peers and she was consistently the top of her school, and as Alice grew older, her intelligence also grew to much greater heights. She even began to out smart her grand father. Despite being offered scholarships, she declined every single one of them because she knew if she had accepted the offers, she would be forced to leave Jun Ho, her 'only kin'.

It was no surprise that Alice broke apart when Jun Ho had passed away. For the first time Alice cried. Her Mourning lasted for weeks, and she tried contacting her parents to no avail (not surprising). It took quite a while before Alice was able to collect her emotions (and sanity) once again. She grabbed some clothes, the small amount of savings Jun Ho and her had, a scholarship invitation, and boarded the train to Seoul.

Alice was 15 when she first entered Seoul Arts High School and with her academics achievements she stood out as the 'smartass freshman'. It was at the age of 17 when received a secret notification inviting her to join the High Society Agency. And it brought back feeling that she had not felt since the death of her grand father. It brought back excitement.

my partners in crime

friends —

— No one other than the agents.

my saviour

love interest — Kim Taehyung

backup love interest — Park Ji Min

personality

Taehyung is hard to describe. At a glance, he might seem like just a average guy next door - just better looking. But there's more to him. He is, first of all, unpredictable. His 4-dimensional mentality and unconventional behavior makes it hard for others to keep up, but he always manages to brighten days and bring smiles with his quirky antics. His playful character is a fun addition to the team.

However, he is not just a goofball. Inside, he possesses a caring and thoughtful mindset. Even if he does not show it, he looks over his friends and family while doing his best to protect them from getting hurt.

interactions

Their cat-and-dog relationship started when they first met. Taehyung began to for her satoori, mimicking the way she speaks, taking away her glasses and making Alice chase him down the corridors, yelling at him. But if Alice had to admit it, Taehyung was not 100% annoying.

Back when Alice was in Gwangju, she wasn't exposed to a lot of fun, and even when she moved to Seoul, her days were mostly occupied by creating gadgets and programming them. So Taehyung - who would play with Alice in the snow, drag her out to amusement parks and what not - was involved in many of her first experiences. And it was during those little 'dates' when their friendship (and romance) would blossom.

how you met

When Alice was added into the agency, she - being her socially awkward self - did not know how to speak to the other agents. It was Taehyung who approached her first. With a bright smile he blurted, 'You're not mute are you?' Alice, upon hearing that, was shocked. She tried to retort back, saying how he should not say such things without thought but all that came out was a stuttered, 'Y-you, y-y-you little brat!' So much for first impressions. With that, their tom-and-jerry relationship started.

my thoughts

comments/suggestions — Looking forward to the story. Hope you like Alice.

scene requests — Drunk Taehyung calls Alice in the middle of the night and confesses that why he takes her glasses away is not to but because he finds her prettier without glasses(?) (HAHA OMG PARDON ME.)
